Trying to find Positive in a World 🌎 that needs more of it!

Welcome 🙏 to the most impressive Basketball 🏀 atmosphere that I didn’t know existed ! The students at Utah State University sure do put on a show in support of their Aggies !!

The number of college basketball arenas I have visited over the years is now well north of 200 and each experience has been unique. But nothing had me prepared for our Saturday morning 🌄 visit to the Gymnasium in Logan, Utah

Utah State University currently resides in the Mountain West Conference but is headed to the New look Pac – 12 next season and Aggie fans are excited about the pending move.

Was the atmosphere fueled by the opponent being rival San Diego State ? Was it fueled by the game being a showdown for the MWC regular season crown ? Quite possibly but regardless the reason why, it was AMPED.

How close is Logan, Utah to the Idaho border ? Close enough that you can smell the potatoes 🥔. The city averages over 50 inches of snow ❄ per winter.

You will notice that the attendance was 100% capacity for the game and there’s no doubt that the crowd helped create the victory for the Aggies!

The game was an 11:00 am local time tip so it could be showcased on CBS sports as a National game but the early start didn’t prevent the Student section from bringing the energy.

Current UVA Head Coach, Ryan Odum spent two seasons at the helm of the Aggies before  returning to the East Coast. The UVA aspect was interesting because of the full circle 🔵 loop of going from the school that made history back in 2018 by defeating the #1 seed to a few years later returning to coach said team.

If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Logan, Utah in the winter time there are two things you should do. Say hello 👋 to the giant Bull out front and get a ticket 🎟 to see the Aggie students support their team !

Monday concluded with a 3.0 mile trek to cap off a 20,000 step 🚶‍♂️ day !

Sunday afternoon took us over to Capitol Reef National Park for the first time. The Northern half of the state of Utah is very different from where we are staying in the Desert 🏜. They are currently suffering from a lack of snow ❄ – insert laughter here.

This led to a drive 🚗 up to 10,000 feet in February where we shared a National Park with a dozen other people,in total.

Look close and you will see my face atop the sign.

I believe that Jessica and Donnie visited this park in the past. Jabin is the Son of Jessica & Greg Talley. Greg Talley is a Kool Dude and he knows Cody Reece.

Cody Reece is celebrating his Birthday 🎂 today and now we get to say Happy Birthday to Cody !!!

#10 – Mrs Goins has a personality and mindset that drips in positivity.

#9 – Her husband Scotty is quite the personality and a spouse cannot be that way without consent.

#8 – Has camera 📷, will travel and share the moments with others.

#7 – Has somehow not let being related to Rick Nester damper her optimistic attitude. Yes, Coach, I’m counting the days until first pitch at Cavalier Park too.

#6 – Patti has really Cool 😎 friends, like Velvet Leonard and her husband Chris ➕ Mr & Mrs Kevin Burress. Donna Nester as well.

#5 – Patti Goins has neat Grandchildren and I believe that one of them is celebrating a Birthday 🎂 today. Happy Birthday…

#4 – Patti shows unconditional support for her Son in Law, Adam Nester 💙

#3 – Patti Goins is as pleasant as the day is long and it rubbed off on your Children.

#2 – Patti Goins raised Kayla Nester, part of our Sister –  Sister act. You cannot turn into the Amazing young Lady that is the present day Kayla Nester without raising  her to be just like you.

#1 – She took her magical Mothering portion and raised Raylee Goins. Raylee keeps her Mother  young as she competes as a Lady 👩 Cavalier in Volleyball 🏐, Basketball 🏀 and Softball

Somedays everything just falls into place and life is good. Here is a thought process that might help on a day when that isn’t the case.

Lin had an appointment this morning that left me with roughly 60 minutes to fill and right down the road from Anytime Fitness. The idea 💡 of walking 🚶‍♂️ on a treadmill for 60 minutes wasn’t lighting my fire 🔥 so I decided to make a Math game out of it.

Setting the targets at 600 calories and 2.0 miles stimulated my interest and had me adjusting both the speed and the elevation from start to finish! Anything to make it more interesting….

  The 2.00 miles was spot on perfect but that is the easier one of the two. When the clock ⏰ hit 60:00 I was still 1 calorie short, hence needing the 8 extra seconds to close it out.

  This formula works for many tasks that you know need to take place but are less than stimulating. Now, the rest of the steps today will come on a nice Hike 🚶‍♂️.
