Casey Burcham versus Rick Nester – who do you got and what would you like to see the Coaching Duo compete at ???

First things First, I am digging the administration look on Mr. Kevin DeHaven !

Getting to know the Casey of Casey & Combs has been a blast ! Casey is also good for business because he is a little bit like me. The reason Casey and I are relatively new to one another is have been working on the opposite side of the street each Spring.

Rick Nester, Kevin Burress and I work hard at creating an environment at Cavalier Park every night πŸŒ™ our Ladies lace up their spikes.

Burcham likes the vibe we are chasing and is interested in doing similar things at Bill Worrell Field next Spring. I suggested that we find a way to host a Day / Night double header.

Play a game and everyone moves to the other ballpark. Casey quickly mentioned that the battle would be over which team gets to play under the lights ????

Well, being that I’m stuck sitting in Galax for 3 hours while my Wife gets her hair done I figured why not set the stage.

Best out of 11 between Rick Nester and Jeff Tobler vs Casey Burcham and Steve Combs with the winner πŸ† getting to host the night cap. I can see this as clear as day !

The only question is how would we choose the 11 events ?

The one thing that I wish I had more of here on our site is audience participation. So if you’re out there and have what you think would be a fun battle between the four please let me know!

Here are some early thoughts – Home Run contest at Cavalier Park

100 yard Dash

Horseshoes

Verbally telling AD Kevin DeHaven why he should choose them.

Head into the Gym for a game of 2 on 2.

Singing contest to be judged by Patricia Lineberry…

Bench Pressing

Punt, Pass and Kick to be officiated by the Football coaching staff.

Soccer ⚽️ penalty kicks with Forrest Johnson and Adrienne Harris as the goalies…..

Winner πŸ† to be the night cap host !

Who do you got ?

Now that we have the Photo πŸ“·, what happens next and when will see πŸ‘€ the Finished product ?

The poster on the left is an 18 x 24 model from the UGA Softball program down in Athens, Georgia. Big πŸ’˜ for all things down there because my oldest daughter is a Professor at the School.

It will be our model for this project and we are shooting for having the posters available on Opening Night ( August 20th). This is why we needed the Photo when we did.

The photo πŸ“· you see mow is a substitute one until we get the finished product from Velvet Creed Leonard.

We hope to include the main pic and the one taken of the JV team as well as the Home schedule (10 matches).

Now its time to head over to visit with our main Man πŸ‘¨, Ron Cochran!

Working with Ron is just straight up FUN !

Our Back to School 🏫 Bash through the eyes πŸ‘€ of Mr. Trenton Miller

One of our goals all along is to encourage people to participate in our efforts through writing ✍ about life experiences. The other night πŸŒ™ at the Back to School Bash, Trenton Miller was operating one of the many booths and was kind enough to describe his experience.

Back to School Bash

It was truly a blessing to be part of Carroll County this evening. I was able to set up at the Bash as a vendor for the first time, and I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. I had linked up with Warren Chappell from DC Tech IT, LLC, to giveaway a bunch of pens as well as some notebooks and flashlights. I also had some educational material there, concerning finance, that was available to anyone who was interested.

I was blown away by the amount of families and children that came past my table in the 3 hours that I was there. Many children were loading up on school supplies and even some parents were joining in on the fun of receiving free gadgets! I had a sign-up sheet for the Book Bags I was giving away, and very quickly my biggest concern became, how can I have more than 3 bags to giveaway next year? I could tell many of the folks that were signing up were really hoping that they would win and I was really hoping they would win as well!

It’s so cool to see a community come together and help each other out and make the day special for so many. You never know what one smile, one word of encouragement, or one free notebook or pack of pencils could do for someone. We all have β€˜real life’ things that we face each day, and when we are surrounded with lots of people giving to a good cause, it leads us to pause, and take time to be grateful for the many blessings that we have been given.

I certainly enjoyed being able to participate this year and am looking forward to being able to help again next year!
