Jv lost a tough one 4-0 Varsity finally got back on track! Playing without 3 starters, which eventually turned into 4 starters out when our goalie got hurt. The volume of folks that made their way through the gates of Liberty’s Track and Field venue for the start of the event yesterday was impressive in itself. 56 schools 🏫 from Class 3 alone plus the Class 4 teams made for quite the gathering.
Add in the fact that the thermometer 🌡was flirting with 90° during the afternoon and it makes the appreciation for the Meet organizers to grow. In just a few hours the Gates will reopen (8:00 am) and the bigger of the two days will get underway.
Both Elijah Smith and Corrie Delp are slated to compete in the 9:30am block with Smith throwing his Discus and Delp competing in the Long Jump. Coach Montgomery and Coach Delp will be alongside our Cavaliers during their moment in the Sun.
From 5:00 until 10:00 P.M. a misty rain fell across the ball diamonds in Woodstock but that did not prevent the Falcons from hosting the teams from Sherando. Tommy Keeler had the softball duties and Dennis Atwood covered the baseball game. Check out both gamers at www.nvdaily.com later.
