Wow, did we ever have a wall 2 wall Friday that became Saturday morning πŸŒ„ in the Blink of an eye πŸ‘. Recapping the Day and preparing for the new one in one fell swoop!

You know that you’re having a Grand Day when you walk πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ into a room and cross paths with two of the kindest people that you are Blessed to call neighbors standing side by side !

Keeping with our theme of Kindness x 2, we had a keepsake moment yesterday morning at Boo Ridge prep ! Charlotte and Coach Vickey.

Today is the Day !
Patrick was doing God’s work πŸ™ yesterday at Hillsville Elementary School 🏫. And he had plenty of help !
Took a break from Boo Ridge detail to write ✍ a story for the Carroll News about this pair of young men and four of their golfing teammates ! Helping out David Broyles as he tries to keep the Newspaper πŸ“° going in the right direction.
Next duo of special people to help out came in the form of Adrienne Harris McGuire and Brittany Kinney. Creating a story for their upcoming project was fun…

Β  Stories were written, helping out whomever I knew that I could and the Step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ count was North of 15K

All that was left to do was take some pain medication πŸ’Š and head to bed πŸ›Œ. Then I realized that my 48 year relationship with the only Baseball ⚾️ team in existence to never play in a single World Series was going to start at 8pm.

Winner πŸ† take all, at home versus the Detroit Tigers πŸ―πŸ…, the thought was what would it hurt to watch a few minutes of my Mariners, right ?

Epic Game = lasted over 5 hours

The Good News is that once again the M’s are within four games of the Fall Classic !

The Better News is that after a Nap, its time to get dressed and head to Hillsville Elementary School 🏫 for Day 3 of 4 in the We Love πŸ’˜ Vickey Ritchie portion of our Calender. 7:30 am will be here before you know it….

If you are looking for something to do this morning πŸŒ„, please πŸ™ consider stopping by Boo Ridge 5K and Fun Run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ at Hillsville Elementary School

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

Varsity and Junior Varsity Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers

Carroll County High School Golf β›³ put on a show at Draper Valley on Monday. Strong enough for Trace Reavis to return to the State Tournament and his fellow Cavaliers just missed joining him.

Draper – Cavalier golf coach Jeremy Ogle led his team into the Regional tournament thinking about possibly needing Hotel reservations for Harrisonburg, the site of the Class 3 State Tournament.

Β Β  When the day ended, Coach realized just how close he came to needing a bigger vehicle as Carroll County missed out on qualifying as a team by a mere five strokes. One would have to do a deep dive into the history books for the last time that happened.

Trace Reavis carded a two over par 74, finishing up in a four way tie for fifth place. The lanky Senior won the second hole of a playoff to secure a second straight trip to Heritage Oaks Golf CourseΒ  October 13th.

Reavis earned 1st team All-Region with his effort as just 17 of the 68 golfers broke 80 on the day. Amazingly, six of the 17 wore the colors of Tunstall. The Trojans captured first place with a 299, fifteen strokes clear of the runner ups at 314.

The top two teams advance to State as well as a few of the golfers not playing on either top team. Reavis fits into that category after his two hole playoff but let’s see just how close the Cavaliers were to joining him at State.

Camden DeHaven finished with an 80 and his effort earned him a spot on Region 3D Second team. Wyatt Ogle was close behind with an 82 and the fourth counting score went to Adison McGraw (83), giving the team a sparkling 319 total.

Both Fisher McMillian and Bryce Cochran broke 90 as the duo each carded an 88. The team finished fifth overall in the 13 School event !

Five strokes from entering a playoff for the second spot and a team field trip to Harrisonburg. Great strides were made this season and Draper Valley Golf Club provided the proof.
