It was still fun to think about it for a hot minute…..
The only thing better than a Buc-ees waffle π§ in the morning is receiving confirmation that Kevin Burress will be joining me tonight at Cavalier Park ! Now we can truly give our youngest ones the full treatment !!

Coach Nick Cushman and Coach Deana Burcham are bringing their dedicated team of middle school π« softball players over to the south side of The Boulevard for their home game tonight !
When this started out, I was just packing up my portable gear βοΈ over to the middle school to announce their game. It would have been fun but limited to just the sound of my voice as you can not do a foul ball contest without a fence.
Moving the game over to Cavalier Park means that the equipment is in place and there is a place for folks to sit βοΈ it brings the Concession stand into play and our Foul Ball contest ! Not sure who moved it but kudos to him or her.
I believe that with every ounce of my being that for Carroll County to return to the glory days of the past, the movement starts with the Rec league and Middle School girls π§. So my hope became that we could give our future players the Red Carpet treatment tonight.
With that said, there was still one BIG part of what we do that would be missing, and that was going to be my partner, Mr Kevin Burress ! In 48 years of holding a π€ππ€, I have never worked beside someone who was talented as my main man π¨.
What’s the secret to the chemistry βοΈ between us ? Two grown-ups who care about the situation as a whole, from start to finish. We are trying hard to accomplish two things every time out with the first being, making our Lady Cavaliers feel as special as possible and do so without demeaning the visitors who are there to watch their daughters play as well.
I couldn’t be the one to ask Kevin to choose between which of his daughters he would watch play tonight, especially being Natalie ” Angel π ” Burress is such a likable young Lady ( I think she gets that from Myranda ).
So, when Kevin shared the great news with me this morning π, it has me wearing a silly grin π. He is even working up special music πΆ for the younger ones !

I will be dependent upon our folks traveling to Stuart to keep updated on our progress over there tonight, and they are pretty good about that.
Forrest Johnson checks in with some photos from the tribute last night at Tommy Thompson Field

Forrest Johnson remains at a non-stop pace with all of the responsibilities that come with being a husband, Father of little ones, teacher of slightly older ones, and coach of young men.
It is remarkable that he remains upright with all of that every day but please know that his efforts last night were real and came from the heart β€οΈ.
Thank you, Sir, for all that you do !
Thursday has arrived, and we begin with a Billy Joel line, Patricia Lineberry is in a ” New York state π½ of mind” βοΈ Boys π¦ Soccer β½οΈ to be completed, Middle School Softball plays at their home of the future !

All four of the high school diamond π teams are heading over to Patrick County High for their games tonight..
Not listed above is the completion of the Boys Varsity Soccer game at Tommy Thompson Field. The game was halted last night, late in the first half, with the Cavaliers leading 1-0.
Also, not on the docket above, Middle School Softball is set to play tonight at Cavalier Park !

Patricia Lineberry and our Chorus just pulled out of the parking lot on The Hill and are now officially bound for the Big Apple π. Nice, nice lady who’s very easy to want to show support for .
Marion Harris shared the to-do list with me, and it sounds like they are about to experience a spring break of a lifetime.
It turns out that Patricia and I aren’t the only ones up at 4am as Howard Mayo has already sent in his Motovational Nugget for the Day !

Hopefully, Travis Osborne is still asleep π΄ but his Bible Verse of the Day will appear here shortly.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Now you know what I know, try and have yourself a Blessed Day π!
Last one, for realizes because the phone π± is dying – just a note to the parents of one, Gesnan (Hez) Mejia ! That is quite an impressive young man who you have raised !!!

What an impressive young man π¨!!
That’s a wrap, and hopefully, we made some people smile today !
Carroll County is full of parents who work hard for a living and student athletes who take the time to represent us. I’m just trying hard to shine a positive light on as many as possible.
See you in a bit, when its time for the morning π Brew !
