Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day will appear here shortly
The scoreboard is now complete from last night as Mr DeHaven circled back and helped me fill in the blanks!
He described the varsity baseball game as a heck of a battle.
The Boys Varsity Soccer was a spirited match for sure.
Varsity Softball had one harsh inning that they couldn’t overcome.
We have two stories already – JV Baseball and Varsity Track and Field.
There will be at least two expanded stories and possibly more (Softball and Boys Soccer ), depending upon the information that makes it my way as the day plays out.
Here in Beckley, we will be hosting Rio Grande in a normal three game weekend set with one game today and two tomorrow.
New York, New York continues to play out for the Chorus, and I’m sure that we will hear from Marion at some point.
Congratulations to the Lady. Wasps for their victory in a back and forth affair over Mars Hill !
Note π to our email π§ subscribers – late last night π you might have received a shell version of this story as I was framing it up. Apologies for that one as I bumped my phone while I was building the frame.
Mr DeHaven reported that the Nester Nine (JV Baseball) rolled to an 11-1 victory !

Boys and Girls Track π£ and Field traveled down to Glade Springs today, and I feel comfortable with the idea that Coach Montgomery will send it the results once he has them.
The troop is gearing up for their Big Trip and Coach walked me through the weekend plans.
Drive over on Friday, get set up, and scout out the course before hitting the bunks.
Saturday morning π starts the competition, and it’s wall to wall throughout the day as units from across the country make the trek.
Saturday night in the area and then returning on Sunday. The Sunday departure time is based on whether the team lands a Top 5 finish. If they were to do so, they would stay a bit longer for the awards ceremony.
Twice in the past stretch, the team landed Top 20 finishes ! When you consider it a national competition, that is pretty impressive !
