Friday Night 🌙 Scoreboard was full of twists and turns but everyone was able to compete ! Saturday’s Baseball ⚾️ Camp has been postponed.

West Virginia Tech University Baseball ⚾️ was forced to relocate our game by 50 miles and we managed to pull off a shocking 3-2 victory over league leading Oakland City.

Adam Nester and the Nester Nine improved to 6-0, and it was their five shutout, 6-0 at Alleghany High School.

Casey Burcham and Company defended The Hill, holding Alleghany High at bay. Cody Reece hit a solo Home Run to help build a 3-0 lead and the Cavaliers held on to post another victory.

Down in Tampa, South Carolina is leading Texas 52-41, Midway through the 3rd period. Connecticut versus UCLA is the other National Semi-final.

Both of our Track and Field teams competed today at Glade Springs and here is a snapshot from their meet.

Nathanael Dalton -2nd place- long jump 20’ 9.5”. Ranked in Top 50 in the state

Corrie Delp-4th place-long jump-  16’ 0”

Corrie Delp-5th place – 100 meter das 13.65

Brendan Farris-8th- high jump. 5’ 4”

Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ team has to stick a 📌 in our trip over to Davis and Elkins College today as the Home team needs to make up Conference games.

  The routine for our Golden Bears 🐻 is to play on Tuesday each week, ahead of a 3 game weekend series on Friday – Saturday or Saturday – Sunday.

  This week was set to be a special trek as D & E is where Skipper Lawrence Nesselrodt played his collegiate Baseball ⚾️ and do so well enough to make his way into their Hall of Fame a few years back.

The game today was relevant today for another reason as River States Conference league leading Oakland City is heading to Beckley for a series starting on Friday afternoon at 3pm.

The team will look to build on the momentum of taking 2 of 3 against Shawnee State last weekend.

Shawnee State enters the day at 17-11 overall and 7-6 in the River States Conference. The school is located in Portsmouth, Ohio., just over 2:30 of a drive from Beckley.

Golden Bears 🐻 win the nightcap 7-6 to win the weekend series, 2-1

Nearly 60 runs 🏃‍♂️ scored across the three games, 29-28 in our favor.
