Wow, did we ever have a wall 2 wall Friday that became Saturday morning 🌄 in the Blink of an eye 👁. Recapping the Day and preparing for the new one in one fell swoop!

You know that you’re having a Grand Day when you walk 🚶‍♂️ into a room and cross paths with two of the kindest people that you are Blessed to call neighbors standing side by side !

Keeping with our theme of Kindness x 2, we had a keepsake moment yesterday morning at Boo Ridge prep ! Charlotte and Coach Vickey.

Today is the Day !
Patrick was doing God’s work 🙏 yesterday at Hillsville Elementary School 🏫. And he had plenty of help !
Took a break from Boo Ridge detail to write ✍ a story for the Carroll News about this pair of young men and four of their golfing teammates ! Helping out David Broyles as he tries to keep the Newspaper 📰 going in the right direction.
Next duo of special people to help out came in the form of Adrienne Harris McGuire and Brittany Kinney. Creating a story for their upcoming project was fun…

  Stories were written, helping out whomever I knew that I could and the Step 🚶‍♂️ count was North of 15K

All that was left to do was take some pain medication 💊 and head to bed 🛌. Then I realized that my 48 year relationship with the only Baseball ⚾️ team in existence to never play in a single World Series was going to start at 8pm.

Winner 🏆 take all, at home versus the Detroit Tigers 🐯🐅, the thought was what would it hurt to watch a few minutes of my Mariners, right ?

Epic Game = lasted over 5 hours

The Good News is that once again the M’s are within four games of the Fall Classic !

The Better News is that after a Nap, its time to get dressed and head to Hillsville Elementary School 🏫 for Day 3 of 4 in the We Love 💘 Vickey Ritchie portion of our Calender. 7:30 am will be here before you know it….

On a personal note 📝, every morning when I wake ⏰ up, I am thankful for three things – #1 God has Blessed me with another Day – #2, Howard Mayo sends me a Motovational Nugget (Weekdays) and #3, Travis Osborne sends me a Bible Verse.

The mission I’m on is to give people hope by showing them kindness and grace. It can be lonely at times, trying hard to Captain the Good Ship 🚢 Lollipop 🍭 but less so when you have two impressive Men trying to support your efforts !

Morning Brew

In regards to West Long and why we have extra Love for him this week. There were nine of us out in the woods yesterday afternoon and at 9am we will kickoff Day #2 (9am-6pm).

Then on Saturday, after the event, the 1,000+ things we prop up in the woods along the trail 👣 has to be picked back up and placed in their tubs. West Long goes from mild mannered Wrestling Coach to this :

Stay out of the Woods behind Hillsville Elementary School 🏫 because they are haunted and then some! Preparing the course for Saturday morning 🌄 as Boo Ridge 5K weekend has officially started.

Vickey Ritchie likes Halloween 🎃. The audience shouts back, ” How 🤔 much does she like it ?: The answer fills up a Box Truck 🚚!!

  While the event doesn’t officially start until 7:30 am on Saturday, the preparation begins as soon as the Elementary School closed on Thursday afternoon.

Four hours are blocked 🚫 off on Thursday (2-6 pm) and a full nine hours on Friday from 9am until 6pm. This much time is needed to strategicly place Spooky things throughout the 3.2 mile Trek.

Vickey is considering what life would be like if all of her tubs were full of truly haunted items. Each item would jump out of its container in a timely fashion and run out to the correct place on the course!!!!!

Until then, Vickey and her troop of volunteers 🙋‍♀️ will keep up the good fight and welcome others to join in the pre-fun!

Saturday Fun x 3 is awaiting us on the Calender as Howard Mayo, Vickey Ritchie and Cindy Edwards have plans with a strong 💪influence from the Queen 👸 of Bingo !

October 4th – Girls Basketball 🏀 Bingo night 🌙 in the School cafeteria !

October 11th – Boo Ridge 5K and Fun Runs 🏃‍♂️ hosted by the Special Olympics.

October 18th – Carroll County Volleyball 🏐 will host their annual Bingo night at the High School 🏫..

Stacy Whitaker will be hosting the Girls Basketball 🏀 event as well as playing a role in the one for Volleyball 🏐 as well.

This character from Buc-ees is going to be assisting Vickey Ritchie at Boo Ridge, taking place at Hillsville Elementary School 🏫.
