Welcome πŸ™ to Friday morning πŸŒ„, which starts at the Dentist office 🏒 and ends with Duke – UNC down in Charlotte. All quiet on the Cavalier front..

Not to often that one sees a St. Patrick Day Christmas πŸŽ„ Tree but that is the welcoming item this morning at the Dentist office in Mount Airy.

We have another encouraging weather forecast so hopefully everyone can get out an enjoy the day!

It’s Semi-final Friday down in Charlotte and the folks running the event have their dream Final Four. Hopefully there will be a nice crowd at the Spectrum Center.

More to follow, assuming that I survive the visit!

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

Marion Harris cashes in five years worth of OneofUs.Care credits for his maiden voyage to the ACC Men’s Basketball πŸ€ Tournament !

Marion Harris is having himself a Day, even if its a Hokie and not a Tar Heel kinda day.

Vickey Ritchie will have us covered in regards to the School 🏫 Board meeting and we have Chris & Velvet Leonard βž• Donna Nester along with Coach Nester to keep us in the know about the Softball scrimmage while I monitor the Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ game up in Bluefield.

Meanwhile, here in Charlotte, Marion will be writing ✍ about the Hokies and the other Golden Bears of California. We are both keeping Mr Hokie, Allen Worrell in our Thoughts and Prayers all week πŸ™.

It’s neat that Marion was able to chose a first time experience for his 1,000,000 credits earned !

So, quick recap, pull for some Golden Bears 🐻 but not others + for Brett to have a Kodak moment and for our Lady Cavaliers πŸ‘© to have a safe and productive scrimmage !

Tomorrow’s games

Tuesday will be a Cavalier kinda Day with four events βž• the ACC Men’s tournament down in Charlotte βž• our Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball plays nearby in Bluefield and someone who is pretty Cool 😎 will have a moment at the School Board meeting !

Thankfully Mr Kevin DeHaven will correct me if anything changes in regards to today in regarding the four High School events.

Rick Nester, Martin McKenzie and both Coach Johnson and Coach Puckett will lead teams today as scrimmages are in full swing. We hope to be able to share some notes πŸ“ from any and / or all of them afterwards.

After two games earlier with Bluefield State, our Golden Bears 🐻 will face Bluefield University for the first time this season.

Down in the Queen πŸ‘Έ City, six teams will try to extend their stay by at least one day as the opening tip is at 2pm. The UVA Cavaliers won the five team tiebreaker at 8-12, allowing the Hoos to sit out today’s session.

The last thing taking place today is over at the monthly School Board meeting and while I won’t get into it ahead of time, I am excited about the recognition that will be taking place.

A number of events will be taking place today and we will see πŸ‘€ how well we can do shining a light on them !

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

Day 576 in the effort to make sure that the word is a Positive One ! Next Stop βœ‹ is 600!!

It’s Monday Morning πŸŒ„ and Elvis has left the building but kudos for hanging in there for 10 Days !

Wayne Carter, far right, pictured here with Myself and Louisville Head Women’s Basketball πŸ€ Coach Jeff Walz.

Β Β  At 8:30 this morning, my 70 year old Brother climbed into his car πŸš— and began his 426 mile drive back to Sellersburg, Indiana. Proud of the fact that he came to town for our Banquet and lasted into the 10th day before needing to head back home 🏑.

Wayne capped his visit off with three hours of Special Olympics Basketball πŸ€ practice and visiting briefly with Marion Harris late yesterday afternoon.

Β  This week will be prepare for our biannual trek down to Hilton Head Island πŸ—ΏπŸ. We will continue to plug away at the backlog of stories to be written as well as sharing any notes πŸ“ that come our way.

Godspeed on the journey πŸ™ back to Indiana and congrats πŸ‘ on keeping pace for 10 Days !

Stops βœ‹in a multitude of places and visited with family πŸ‘ͺ, old friends and new friends βž• made some new ones down in Greensboro over those three days.
