Not to often that one sees a St. Patrick Day Christmas π Tree but that is the welcoming item this morning at the Dentist office in Mount Airy.

It’s Semi-final Friday down in Charlotte and the folks running the event have their dream Final Four. Hopefully there will be a nice crowd at the Spectrum Center.

Marion Harris is having himself a Day, even if its a Hokie and not a Tar Heel kinda day.
Vickey Ritchie will have us covered in regards to the School π« Board meeting and we have Chris & Velvet Leonard β Donna Nester along with Coach Nester to keep us in the know about the Softball scrimmage while I monitor the Golden Bears π» Baseball βΎοΈ game up in Bluefield.
Meanwhile, here in Charlotte, Marion will be writing β about the Hokies and the other Golden Bears of California. We are both keeping Mr Hokie, Allen Worrell in our Thoughts and Prayers all week π.
It’s neat that Marion was able to chose a first time experience for his 1,000,000 credits earned !

Thankfully Mr Kevin DeHaven will correct me if anything changes in regards to today in regarding the four High School events.
Rick Nester, Martin McKenzie and both Coach Johnson and Coach Puckett will lead teams today as scrimmages are in full swing. We hope to be able to share some notes π from any and / or all of them afterwards.
After two games earlier with Bluefield State, our Golden Bears π» will face Bluefield University for the first time this season.
Down in the Queen πΈ City, six teams will try to extend their stay by at least one day as the opening tip is at 2pm. The UVA Cavaliers won the five team tiebreaker at 8-12, allowing the Hoos to sit out today’s session.
The last thing taking place today is over at the monthly School Board meeting and while I won’t get into it ahead of time, I am excited about the recognition that will be taking place.
A number of events will be taking place today and we will see π how well we can do shining a light on them !

Β Β At 8:30 this morning, my 70 year old Brother climbed into his car π and began his 426 mile drive back to Sellersburg, Indiana. Proud of the fact that he came to town for our Banquet and lasted into the 10th day before needing to head back home π‘.
Wayne capped his visit off with three hours of Special Olympics Basketball π practice and visiting briefly with Marion Harris late yesterday afternoon.
Β This week will be prepare for our biannual trek down to Hilton Head Island πΏπ. We will continue to plug away at the backlog of stories to be written as well as sharing any notes π that come our way.
Godspeed on the journey π back to Indiana and congrats π on keeping pace for 10 Days !
Stops βin a multitude of places and visited with family πͺ, old friends and new friends β made some new ones down in Greensboro over those three days.
