Welcome πŸ™ to Sunday June 29th and we begin by Celebrating a King sized Random Act of Kindness!

Excellent Uber Driver
The Path taken

As we close in on July 1st, when we change the banner on this site and we make it 100% Carroll County, Virginia, there’s time to share a true OneofUs.Care moment that was made possible by Mr Douglas Owens.

After a somewhat serious health scare on a recent morning πŸŒ„ back in Laurel Fork, the idea of enjoying a 2100 miles drive πŸš— started to dim. With that said, being without our Car was going to create certain challenges as well.

The driving force behind OneofUs.Care is to encourage people to create Kindness by doing for others, as often as possible πŸ™. Douglas made his way out to Laurel Fork and jumped into our little Chevy Trax and drove it across the Country for us.

Β  The fact that its a Trax is relevant because it wasn’t like there was a high end German Sports Car that was begging to be driven.

I arrived in St.George one day earlier, after getting Lin to Missouri, where she will visit with her Mother πŸ‘© and Sister while finishing up her rehab from knee replacement. Made good use of the day by jumping into a one day rental and heading out to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I created a post πŸ“« from up there but the cell service was a bit spotty

Check out how close the heard of Buffalo πŸƒ are to the Highway!

One of numerous views

There are more photos πŸ“· on the Saturday post πŸ“« as today is about showing gratitude πŸ™ for a random Act of Kindness from Mr Douglas Owens!!

Great step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ Day!

Tuesday morning will be the official makeover day for the site and this story is an example of one that would appear on a different spot because it doesn’t fall under the heading of a Carroll County event.

Today will be spent in the desert 🏜 town of Mesquite, Nevada where its forecasted to reach 110° but thankfully we have that whole dry heat thing going on.

Thank You Douglas and here’s πŸ™ hoping everyone has themselves a Blessed Day !!

Today’s 20,000+ steps πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈare brought to you by the North Rim of the Grand Canyon ! It’s certainly the COOLEST of the four Rims, by 20 degrees !

68Β° !!!

The North Rim simply doesn’t get the love that the other three Rims do but here’s what I can tell you about why I jump at an opportunity to leave St.George and head over.

It’s going to be 100Β° today in the City but here its almost chilly. 9,000 feet of elevation will do that for you. Three months of the year you cannot visit this Rim because of said elevation but in the Summer its the place to be.

The first thing you see πŸ‘€ when you enter the park is a herd of Buffalo πŸƒ!

Congratulations to the Artists 🎨 formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics !!

It was the late 1970’s the other time the Sonics cut down the nets after winning the National Basketball Association Championship.

Shawn Kemp and Gary ” The Glove ” Peyton made a couple of strong runs but now after nearly half a century and a 1,973 mile move, Crown πŸ‘‘ #2 is in handβœ‹!!

Wally Walker – University of Virginia

Great seven game series and the Indiana Pacers did a great job of representing the old American Basketball πŸ€ Association!

Welcome πŸ™ to Strasburg, where its 97 and feels like 102Β°…Running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Blog for the Day…

HOT, HOT, HOT πŸ”₯ is the only way to describe the weather today here in Shenandoah County. The Express players have started to arrive here at the First Bank Ballpark ahead of the 6pm First Pitch.

Tough to even find shade today but it is what it is. It would appear that the weather is here for a few days.

This one could be all about endurance…

Happy Birthday πŸŽ‚ to Chris Graham is in the notes πŸ“.

Motivated by the Ceremonial First Pitch Fastball from Chris Carter, the Express hung a six spot on the Turks !

Middle of the second inning, Express leading 6-2, tempature should be dropping soon, right ?

No Baseballs melted !
