Today’s Morning 🌄 Brew is about March(ing) x 3 as Vickey Ritchie and our Special Olympics Basketball march to Va Tech, Duke Women March 9 miles to a sold out Carmichael to face the Heels 👠 & Lin and I start the 31 hour March back to Laurel Fork !

We have reached February 26th and we can celebrate the fact that March just sounds Warmer !
We currently have 12 teams being formed right now under the watchful eyes 👀 of dedicated Coaches ! 8 Varsity and 4 Junior Varsity teams that call our four outdoor facilities Home.
Exactly half of them have Tommy Thompson Field, two play at Bill Worrell Field, two play at Cavalier Park and the final pair at the Wilkerson Tennis 🎾 Courts.
Casey Burcham and Adam Nester run our Baseball program.
Shawn Montgomery and Jon Delp run 🏃♂️ our Track and Field teams.
Forrest Johnson and Jeremy Puckett run the Boys Soccer program while Adrienne Harris McGuire and Brittany Kinney share the Pitch on the Girls side.
Rick Nester and Terry Warf have the two teams that call Cavalier Park 🏡. Mr Warf stepping in for Alexis Dalton.
That brings us to the Tennis 🎾 courts where last year Martin McKenzie and Christy Shupe led the Girls and Boys teams. Not sure yet of the official status of those two spots but hopefully will very soon.

Out here we have three things to keep an eye on today
Utah Tech is hosting Day #1 of a four day Softball tournament called the Beehive Classic. It begins at 10am each day and will include a Triple Header of action 🎬!
Once the Softball is over, Kira Lawson and Duke University Women’s Basketball will be hosting Florida State.
The nightcap will take place inside Burns Arena as the Trailblazer Men continue their pursuit of the WAC regular season crown 👑.
Should be a healthy and active day out here and here’s hoping 🙏 that each of you have a Blessed 🙌 Day!
The Big Game is on ABC here in just a bit and we have two members of the Travis Osborne 👪 about to both absorb and later report on the action 🎬!

Duke with a Big Rally to capture the lead 41-33 at the half.🔥🔥🏀🏀
Media TO 4:32 in the 3rd quarter. Duke holds the lead @ 47-41.
This place is ELECTRIC!!!
A rally by the Heels late in the 3rd quarter puts us going into the final quarter with Duke-58, UNC-54. IT’S Gonna be a Wild Finish!!!
An offensive foul followed by a Technical on UNC has turned this place “CRAZY”!!
4:41 to go in regulation Duke-67, UNC-61.
A TREMENDOUS ballgame from start to finish!!!! Congratulations to the Lady Blue Devils on their 72-68 Victory over UNC.❤️🏀

Today will be Travis Osborne Day here on our site as Mr T will have his Bible Verse, a Volleyball update and a great college Basketball showdown from inside Cameron Indoor Stadium !!!

Four Carroll County High School Basketball 🏀 games versus Floyd County
Our JV Girls won 31 – 23
Our JV Boys fell 57 – 19
Our Varsity Girls fell 62 – 44
Our Varsity Boys fell 76 – 44

Saved By the Bell 🔔: The Cavalier College Years also had four games…..
Elijah Cox and Randolph College won 80-69
Bryce and Brayden Smoot ➕ SWCC fell 75 – 69 but Bryce dropped 16 points and we will have more on that game later.
Katie Lam and Roanoke College fell 71 – 61
Alyssa Ervin and Furman University won 63 – 61 and we will have our normal Day after story tomorrow on this one.
Each of those eight games has an individual post 📫 with a varying level of information about how it went.
The two College games we took our Grandson Nosh to both had exciting endings and both times the Home team prevailed.
Southern Utah University Women won 78 – 67 over UT – Arlington in Cedar City.
Utah Tech Men claimed a share of first place in the WAC with a 70 – 65 victory over California Baptist University.
West Virginia Tech University Baseball ⚾️ split a twin bill down in North Carolina
Rampage-14 played three matches, also in North Carolina. The team finished up 1-2 and will return to action 🎬 here in a smidgen.
Patricia Lineberry had a big day yesterday and Marion Harris has provided me with ample Nuggets and that story is in the Hopper.
