Today will be the final page in the November to Remember with the Duke University Women’s Basketball 🏀 team. Their calendar month took them / us to Paris, France 🇫🇷, Cameron Indoor Stadium (2), Lynchburg, Virginia ➕ Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia ➕ Tampa, Florida and finally, two games in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Yesterday, during the Texas versus UCLA opener, I realized that we were sitting next to same Basketball Royalty 🏀. Even at 62 years old, it still makes me smile to meet someone who loves the game of Women’s Hoops in the manner that I do.

Denise Curry holds the distinction of being the All-Time scoring leader in the history of UCLA Basketball ! Just over 3,100 points scored for the Bruins, a mark that has her atop the list for the University, Men or Women and by a wide margin.

Later today our Blue Devils will face her Bruins in the night 🌙 cap of the two day event. When Curry isn’t watching the Lady Bruins, she’s helping Coach at Long Beach State University. Neat, Neat Lady 👩 to say the least and I’m Thankful to have shared a conversation about a sport that is so relevant to both of us.

Being Thankful is the specialty of the Day and I will wrap this up by wishing 🙏 everyone can spend today with someone who they 💘.

Many will watch football 🏈🏈🏈 of and on today but for Linda and I, we will be soaking up some more Womens Basketball 🏀.

Travel Soccer ⚽️ (U-19) resumes its weekend tournament down in Winston – Salem and the Duke University Women play in Lynchburg versus Liberty University.

When the chase of the November schedule 📅 came to life last month, this is the one that we had circled with a Sharpe. Yes, there was Paris, France 🇫🇷 and two in Las Vegas, but the palace known as America’s Resort is a special, special place ! We were fortunate enough to celebrate our 30th Anniversary here just over a decade ago and we look for reasons to make the drive 🚗 through the Alleghany Highlands to get here.

Meanwhile, back on The Hill, Carroll County High School 🏫 is hosting a quarterfinal playoff game !

Seth Greer brings his team on to Tommy Thompson Field with a sterling 8-2 mark and Northside sits at 6-4. This is the #4-#5 match-up and the winner 🏆 moves on to face the #1 – Magna Vista unless they are upset by #8 Abingdon.

What Greer and Company have accomplished in a very short period of time has been nothing short of spectacular ! The fresh air of the success wavers across the entire County !!
