Using Women’s Basketball πŸ€ at Utah Tech as a background, here’s the Carroll County scoreboard and Coaches Thoughts from Tuesday night πŸŒ™…

Opening Jump…

Let’s begin with the trio of events that were postponed due to the weather.

Boys πŸ‘¦ Middle School Basketball, Girls πŸ‘§ Middle School Basketball and MS Wrestling will all have to play wait and see πŸ‘€ if they can get those games / matches rescheduled or not.

On The Hill – Carroll County High School split the Girls πŸ‘§ games with visiting Pulaski County.

Varsity falls 65-36…

Thanks Jerey the final score was 65-36. We had too many turnovers and didnt make open shots when we had them . Raylee Goins had 14 points and Callie Harris had 8 points. Our team had 11 offensive rebounds this does show some good effort. We will work on doing a better job taking care of the ball.

Thank You Coach Mayo !

Junior Varsity rolled to a convincing victory and their Head Coach shared her thoughts :

”   The 2025 JV Girls CCHS delivered a commanding 41-14 victory over Pulaksi at home, improving their perfect record to 1-0. The team showcased their depth and talent in a dominant performance that saw them control the game from the opening tip to the final buzzer.

” CCHS came out firing in the first quarter, jumping to an impressive 11-1 lead that set the tone for the entire contest. Kate Holderfield got the scoring started early and Milli Parker added four points to help establish the early advantage. The team never looked back, extending their lead to 19-4 by halftime behind strong contributions across the roster. Milli Parker was particularly effective in the second quarter, adding six more points including perfect free throw shooting.

The second half saw continued excellence from CCHS, with different players stepping up in each quarter. Hayden Heflin had a stellar third quarter, contributing four points while shooting an efficient 60% from the field (3-5 FG) for the game. Kate Holderfield capped off her outstanding performance in the fourth quarter with a three-pointer, finishing as the game’s leading scorer with 15 points on 5-15 shooting, including a perfect 1-1 from beyond the arc.

” The balanced attack was a key to the victory, with five players contributing significantly to the scoring effort. Milli Parker added 10 points with perfect free throw shooting (4-4 FT), while Madison Adkins, Maeli Parker, and Hayden Heflin each chipped in valuable points. The team’s ability to maintain their intensity throughout all four quarters, outscoring Pulaksi in each period, demonstrates the depth and determination of this talented squad as they continue their undefeated start to the season.”

Varsity Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€

That brings us to the Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys πŸ‘¦. These Cavaliers opened there regular season at Pulaski County High School. This creates an issue because PCHS doesn’t participate in the Network. Normally, its watching πŸ‘€ Anthony Barnes and his squad on-line but tonight I will be dependent on hearing from Coach.

Check back later and hopefully we will have more.

Here its McNeese State 17-10 with 2:20 remaining in the first quarter. 22-18 after one, in favor of the πŸ„girls…

Lin stayed home 🏑 to watch the 2nd half of her version of the Blue Devils and should be in a good mood when I return.

Halftime score – πŸ„Girls 37, Trailblazers 27..

Boys πŸ‘¦ Varsity Final Score

End of 3rd quarter here, trailing, 54-39

The game is wrapping up here, and we have something from each game βž– Boys JV Basketball πŸ€.

For the next 90 Days our Morning πŸŒ„ Brew will be generated from the desert 🏜 of Southern Utah and today its stuffed full of Basketball πŸ€ with the CCHS Girls πŸ‘§playing on The Hill !

Here in St.George, the Lady πŸ‘© Trailblazers host McNeese State

Season openers for all four of the High School 🏫 Basketball πŸ€ teams so there is electricity in the Air !

While the older Cavaliers are just getting started, the younger ones are heading down the home stretch this week. Middle School has seven games remaining as of this morning.

Middle School Wrestling will compete again today but we haven’t heard from anyone on that front.

We will do our best to gather up any information that makes it our way. I am looking forward to teaming up with Beth Bouldin for the MS games and I like my chances with Marion Harris on the Girls side. The bigger challenge tonight will be the Boys πŸ‘¦ because they are playing at a School that doesn’t use the Network. That won’t happen often but it does tonight.

The goal hasn’t changed – create a space that is free of bullying, sadness and advertising that Carroll County residents may enjoy for free. The focus needs to be on the folks that want to interact versus chasing down the ones who don’t.

Travis Osborne with his Bible Verse πŸ™ of the Day :

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ and Go Cavs !

The Road Ahead for Middle School 🏫 Basketball πŸ€ : Seven games remaining in December

As the book πŸ“– closes on our November to Remember tour, its time to look ahead and start making plans.

Monday, December 1st, we move into our Winter home 🏑 with the hopes of focusing on our health. We will be there until March 1st and here’s what we know for sure…..

Β  Creating stories for both of our Middle School Basketball πŸ€ teams has been enjoyable so there’s no reason to not complete the season with them.

This is possible because of Beth Bouldin, Kris Richardson, Darian Brown and the ability to get the scorebooks after each game. We are 16 of 16 x 2 with the goal being 23 of 23 x 2. 46 ball games inside of two months = bonkers.

#Hoops

Going forward in regards to the other activities that take place is dependent upon receiving information about said activities. Hoping for the Best for all things, teams and events πŸ™ over the next three months with the plan being to share any positivity that comes our way.

It’s time to board the ✈️✈✈️ to Denver now, being that November still has 3 Days left, there’s still time for one more adventure and this one will take place in the Hoosier state.

Joi Ogle, West Long, Howard Mayo and Anthony Barnes are all ready to guide our programs once the weekend is over. If we can be of any help to any of the four, we will be happy to help. This includes both of the Junior Varsity teams as well.
