Kevin’s shop has such a throwback feel to it, across the board. Like Norm on the old sitcom Cheers, a place where everyone knows your name, and the others waiting for their turn in the historic chair 💺.

Today is Thursday and once again Kevin has a full house 🏠. The vibe is always relaxed and takes me back to time where life felt less complicated. The topic of the day is about 🐟🐠 and catching the big one.

Kevin is good natured about the reason why folks wait in line for a haircut. The glass half-empty says he runs the only Barber Shop in town so there’s no choice.

Living in the Class half-full, I want to believe its because people feel at home here and they can visit with old friends and make new ones during their stay.

If you find yourself looking for a way to take a trip back in time, the building has been here since 1950 as a Barber Shop from Day 1. The Worrell Family 👪 took over back in 1984 and seven years later, Kevin joined the Family Business !

Patrick County Middle School has arrived for the Opening match of tonight’s Soccer doubleheader. They will take on Carroll County Middle School at 5pm.

Girls Junior Varsity will host Abingdon in the nightcap, beginning at roughly 6pm.

A tough loss for our CCMS Lady Cavaliers Softball Team last evening, as they fell 14-4 to the Ladies at Christiansburg Middle School. As the typical “Softball Dad,” I often times get wound up during the heat of the battle 🔥🔥…… after the game last night, Morgan walked out of the Circle discouraged. (And Dad may have been a little as well)??….

    Then, as we were leaving the park, one of Morgan’s friends from the opposing team came over and gave Morgan a Big Hug with a Big Smile😀 What a Wonderful Testimony from a Wonderful young Lady🙏🙏 I was Quickly reminded that there’s A Lot more to this game than just the game❤️
               I challenge All young athletes and parents to put forth the effort to be an encourager. You just might put a smile on someone’s face when they need it the most!!!🙏❤️

Carroll County Middle School Vanquish PCMS Lady Cougars In High-Scoring Affair By GameChanger Media Bats were blistered as Carroll County Middle School bested PCMS Lady Cougars 12-9 on Tuesday. Carroll County Middle School collected 12 hits, while PCMS Lady Cougars had 10. PCMS Lady Cougars opened the scoring in the first after Olivia C grounded out, scoring one run. Carroll County Middle School captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Laken L tripled, scoring one run, Ashlynn S doubled, scoring one run, and Milli P singled, scoring two runs. Carroll County Middle School added two runs in the third after Morgan O singled down the right field line following a 6-pitch at-bat. PCMS Lady Cougars scored five runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. An error scored one run, Olivia C singled, scoring one run, Sophia E singled, scoring one run, and Lena H drew a walk, scoring one run. Maeli P stepped in the circle first for Carroll County Middle School. The hurler allowed 10 hits and nine runs (four earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking five. Makenzie C stepped in the circle first for PCMS Lady Cougars. The starter gave up 12 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking seven. Morgan O appeared in relief for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School collected 12 hits in the game. Morgan O led Carroll County Middle School with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Ashlynn S, Kate H, and Morgan O each collected two hits for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Briley M and Laken L led the team with two walks each. Kate H, Briley M, Mckaylee M, Jenna B, and Laken L each stole multiple bases for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School stole 15 bases in the game. PCMS Lady Cougars collected 10 hits in the game. Olivia C provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led PCMS Lady Cougars with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 3-for-4 on the day.
