Marion Harris shares his crazy experience on the Pitch this season ! Our guy 👦 didn’t stop at 100 games officiated…

Game #9 of 9 brings it all Full Circle 🔵. A lifetime ago I arrived at James Madison University in hopes of kicking Field Goals 🏈🏈🏈 and they told me that I was better suited to manage the Campus Pizza 🍕 Place…So I did just that

Such a beautiful new building is how I would describe the Atlantic Union Bank Center!

2pm Tip between the James Madison University Dukes and Gardner- Webb…

Kenny Brooks coached the Dukes for what felt like forever until he took the job at Va Tech on his path to the University of Kentucky. The program has always been very likable because of the level of Class it contains.

The Convocation Center was the name of the long time arena. The new one has serious Bells 🔔 and Whistles.

It’s almost time for the opening tap !

The journey that former UVA Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall is on right now is simply Magical !!!

When UVA approached Bronco about replacing his coordinators a few years back, he surprised everyone by choosing to resign instead. Bronco brought his entire staff with him when he made the move from BYU to UVA a few years earlier and Coach had zero interest in cutting some of them loose.

The group packed up their offices 🏢 and headed back to Utah. A few years passed and then Bronco got the band backed together, accepting the monumental challenge of breathing life back into a dormat New Mexico.

The team started out 0-4 as the Lobos learned how to play under their new Coach. A few weeks later they stood at 3-6 with three tough games remaining. Last week they kept their remote Bowl 🥣 dreams alive by surprising San Diego State in a low scoring game.

This week, inside of the final minute they scored a Touchdown to shock #18 Washington State 38-35.

Bronco is one of the Good Guys 👦 of All-Time and now stands one win away from earning the most unlikely Bowl 🥣 bid in quite sometime. They will have to fly to the Islands and defeat Hawaii to complete the season ending Hat 👒 Trick.

In Bronco We Trust !

The previous Coach went 11-32 across his four seasons….

Final Update for Saturday night 🌙

James River advanced to the Class 2 Final Four while Radford fell on the road. The Knights will look to continue their March next week.

Saturday night 🌙 is coming to an end. Thanks for coming along for part of the journey 🙏

Game 7/9 on Day 5/9 has us watching 👀 the Men of Eastern Mennonite University host the Greensboro College Pride…

Old Friend Steve Cox is doing the announcing for this one. Cox and I spent many a Moon 🌙 working on things regarding the Valley Baseball ⚾️ League.

The definition of a True Fan in my eyes 👀 is someone that will watch any two teams play on any given day. College Basketball 🏀 is the Sport that I consider myself a True Fan of, Men and Women – any level of the Sport, and I’m game for the watching.

When I realized that I would be spending nine days in the area around Massanutten I challenged myself to try and take in nine games. Obvious Math says that’s an average of 1.0 per day. As Barney would say on the sitcom ” How I Met Your Mother 👩”, challenged Accepted !

Challenging oneself is a tremendous 👏 tool 🔧as it builds skills on so many levels. Once you have the initial setup in place the natural thing to do is up the degree of difficulty. First item – no duplicate Home Teams and second item – how many different levels of competition can be included ?

Let’s see how we are doing so far ?

VMI Men (D1) hosting on Tuesday night.
Bridgewater Women (D3) hosted the early game on Wednesday.
University of Virginia Women Women (D1) hosted the night 🌙 cap on Wednesday.
Shepherd University Women (D2) hosted on Thursday.
Shenandoah University Men (D3) hosted on Friday night 🌙.
Christendom College Women (USCAA-D2) hosted on Saturday afternoon in Front Royal.
Eastern Mennonite University (D3) hosting Saturday afternoon.
Bridgewater Men (D3) will host a game tonight.
James Madison University Dukes (D1) will host Sunday afternoon at 2pm….

Ran the gauntlet for sure ! Ladies will prevail 5-4 and all three levels will have been covered. Fun stuff on its own but then add in the Guest List of 4/9 Grandkids ➕ Coach Alan Knight up to this point = Bonus.

There are 10+ Schools 🏫 of Higher Education here in the Valley. Mary Baldwin down in Staunton hasn’t made the list yet but they are home on Tuesday night ???? 💘 the Squirrels.

This game has been very entertaining up to this point. Greensboro leads 33-28 with just over 3:00 left in the first half. Lots of 3 point shots have been launched and plenty of hustle on display 👏.
