Marion Harris completed his first Trifecta of 3 NCAA D1 Sporting events in a 24- hour Window. Trenton Miller hung out with us in Winston-Salem, Elijah Cox and Randolph played and Won đ a Home game.
Cox logged 8 minutes, 3 points and 2 rebounds on the day.
Duke Football đđđ their 9th game of the season with an ever so rare Walk đļââī¸ off Touchdown from 39 yards out and the Lady đŠ Blue Devils joined three other ACC schools in the Final Four !
Marion really liked how his car đ looked with an Iron Duke Parking Pass hanging in it.
Sadly I still haven’t seen the video of the craziest TD, possibly of All-Time. NC State was facing 3rd and 57 from their own 2 yard line when Hollywood Smuthers broke off a 98 yard Game winning TD run đââī¸ to end the Mack Brown era at UNC.
Sadly, Appalachian State University, UVA and New Mexico each fell 1 victory short of Bowl đĨŖ eligibility. đē and Hokies make it 13 out of 17 for the ACC.

Duke finished tied for 4th in the league at 5-3 and tied for 3rd overall at 9-3 ( Clemson and Syracuse ).
We were all but guaranteed one of three Top Bowl đĨŖ games for the ACC until Miami gave up a 21-0 lead and played themselves out of the Top 12.
Sad đĨ, The “U” had one job……
Minneapolis, is a different story – 6° and Flurries.
The 2024-2025 Basketball đ season is ready to get underway and Anthony Barnes has a 12 Player roster. Simple math tells you that only five of these young men can be in the starting lineup each night đ.
The next line of separation comes at the end of the playing rotation. Most teams usually land somewhere between seven and eight players that will receive substantial game time. The third and final group will work hard all season long in hopes of earning more playing time.
The third group is equally important to the team, at least in my World đ. The show up and practice in hopes of improving their game, give up a significant amount of time to represent both the School đĢ and the Community. Let’s not forget the commitment from the Parents and Siblings from the start of the season until the final horn of the last game.
Head Coach Anthony Barnes is very similar to the last Head Coach I spent 3 months with, Volleyball đ Coach Cindy Edwards. Both of these Coaches are rather intense when it comes to their program and can easily be mistaken for gruff. But know this about them both, they absolutely love đ what they do and they đ who they are doing it for.
Coaches all have different levels of demanding and the Student Athletes have to adapt to the level of expectation that their Coach that season has for him or her.
The goal is not to fill the Students with false bravado like dreams of playing in the National Basketball Association. It’s designed for them to feel supported, by their teammates, Coaches, Families, Student Body and the Community.
Barnes and Assistant Coach Kris Richardson are as easy to work with as it gets from my perspective. Yes, they are demanding of their team and the individual players but at the same time they want them to enjoy the process along the way.
The Player Profile this season is titled Ten Things You Should Know about [ ]. As I explained to the players during their interviews, the process is designed to make them think and help them grow. Five of the things are facts and Five of the things required them to think. Why, you might ask, that’s easy, because its my Goal to help prepare anyone out there for Life after graduation đ.
