Saturday morning 🌄 of last week, all four Carroll County High School 🏫 Soccer ⚽️ teams headed over to the Smith River Sports complex for a day chuck full of Soccer scrimmages.

Marion shares some notes 📝 from the Boys 👦 side of things, with help from Coach Johnson and Coach Puckett.

Varsity Boys :

Overall we just played good team games. Everyone did their job. We made one small mistake that got us scored on in our first game but learned from them and did really well after that.

Lost 1-0 to rustberg, won 3-0 vs JR, and lost 1-0 to Bassett.

Hey Jerry Just a thought Michelle and I had wanted to run by you! Tommy Sharp is Bryce and Brayden’s personal trainer at the wellness center. There Freshman, Sophomore, Junior year they got up 530am 3-5 days a week and he put them through tough workouts! Weight lifting and conditioning! He is hardcore and very very good at what he does. He has played a very major part and Bryce‘s development. Is he someone you would like me to contact to give his view on Bryce :

“I started working with Bryce the summer after 8th grade and it didn’t take long to realize 2 important things about him, first of all he was a very quiet & humble young man with an extremely likable personality that I immediately liked about him and the fact he’s a Steelers fan made it even easier to like him lol!

But second of all I saw in him the God given talent of athleticism & work ethic to make whatever he was asked to do look effortless. He has such a gift of picking things up quickly and that mixed with his terrific personality makes him a coaches dream!

We always started our week out together first thing Monday mornings and I’ve got to tell you being with those guys first thing in morning made my entire day truly blessed! I’m really proud of you brother you earned this and you absolutely deserve it!”

Thank You Tommy Sharp !

Still to come – Russell Smoot and Brayden Smoot share their thoughts and Mr Tee Jackson if he’s interested.

Dan Mendez and Marion Harris as they wrapped up their Ref School for the Day.

Travis Leath and daughter Madison after the two finished up a volunteer practice at Cavalier Park.

It was also great to see Glenn Burnett and Laiken as they were heading out.

Picture 📷 Day tomorrow and scrimmage at Cavalier Park on Tuesday evening so the regular season is getting close…. Tammy Quesenberry is equally excited about the upcoming season, even though the School Board meeting will mess up her seeing the scrimmage. My issue with Tuesday is your not allowed to announce a scrimmage.

It’s all good though as Spring is in the Air!
