Welcome πŸ™ to a Frantic Friday that will include 13 games to monitor, highlighted by 8 involving Carroll County Cavaliers

8 of a possible 12 will be in action 🎬😎

Days like this keep a High School 🏫 Athletic Director on his or her toes. On any given day Carroll County High School can have 12 teams competing, 8 Varsity and 4 Junior Varsity.

Today, everyone except Girls Soccer ⚽️ and Track πŸ‘£ and Field will see action. The goal for the day is to gather up as much information on the eight events possible and share the information in one place. This is possible through the efforts πŸ‘ of some Coaches, some parents and some fans and one hard working above mentioned Athletic Director.

While the eight CCHS events are taking place later, there will be five other contests to keep an eye on. This brings the total to Friday’s 13. Should be an interesting challenge !

5:30 + 8

Should be a fun day with the best part being that Linda has returned from Texas and we are back together. We safely navigated the 338 miles from Savannah to Raleigh – Durham by way of a turn back the clock ⏰ moment at South of the Border and an adventure at the Florence Buc-ces.

Life is like a Box of Chocolate 🍫

Clemson scored 13 points in the first half of a Men’s Basketball tournament game and almost lived to tell about it.

Now its just Duke and UNC on the Men’s side. Thankfully we have  eight teams on the Ladies side, which begins today.

Let’s Go Cavaliers, Golden Bears 🐻, Tar Heels and Blue Devils !!!

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

” Varsity recap – Win 1-0
Varsity kicked off the season against Pulaski county on Wednesday night. The girls got on the board quick scoring within the first 10 minutes of the game. Ahliyah Riffey drew a foul at the top corner of the 18 yard box and won a free kick. Karmen Smith stepped up and took the long shot from outside of the box and put it on frame.

Β Β  The goalkeeper deflected the shot and it landed at Callie Harris’ feet and she buried the volley into the back of the net!!! The girls held on strong with the lead for the remainder of the game. Pulaski had a few opportunities down the stretch but the defensive line of Laurel Sutphin, Harleigh Riggins, Karmen Smith, Elena McKenzie, and Alexis Sheffey in goal all played a strong game leading to the clean sheet.

Β Β Β  On the oppposite side of the field Ahliyah Riffey and Savannah Swecker both had multiple very dangerous opportunities on Pulaski’s defensive line and kept a high pressure on them throughout the entire game. I would also like to recognize a few in the midfield who really stood out throughout the game. Melissa Mize and Callie Harris both stepped up and really anchored down the middle of the field.

Β Β  Overall, the young Cavaliers had a beautiful night of soccer along with a great first win of the season !”

Thank You Coach Harris πŸ™ and congratulations on your success !!
