The Lady Cavaliers found themselves deep in a pitchers duel, trailing the Highlanders 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. Glenvar plated two runs in the inning to push the lead out to 3-0 and that would prove to be the final score in the District opener.

” Defensively we played really well tonight ” said Head Coach Rick Nester. ” We only committed one error tonight but just couldn’t come up with the big hit when we needed it.”

Emma Harman started the game for the Lady Cavaliers and pitched into the fifth inning and gave way to Addie Greene. The duo held the Highlanders in check, allowing a season low three runs but they simply ran into a tough pitcher having a great night.
