Renovations at our Stadium have kept all four of our squads on the road for the first month of the season. So in hopes of showing our appreciation to the Coaches, Players, Parents and Fans, we will be treating the opening two days as  Giant Thank You 🙏.

  Our partners in this project include Principal Chuck Thompson, Athletic Director Kevin DeHaven, our friend and Laurel Fork neighbor, Paul Nester. Each played a roll in getting our ” Open House ” up and running ahead of Wednesday.

The Sunday doubleheader didn’t play out the way the team hoped but it can’t dampen the spirits of the Flying Eagles.

Macie Adkins is finishing up her two year stay at the Community College and the three win week was a nice reward for the Carroll County High School graduate 🎓.

The team has two more weeks remaining in its regular season, including more home games.

Winning some Softball games is a bonus to go along with the ever so important Dean’s List part of the time at SWCC.

We will be celebrating the efforts of Paul Nester Monday night 🌙 at Cavalier Park as we continue our season long Celebration of the folks that gave of themselves to make the latest round of upgrades to our Home Park.

Paul Nester came down and spent a few days creating the brick foundation for the 34 new seats 💺. Nester was even kind enough to coach me and then let me lay on of the bricks.

  Paul Nester will begin the festivities by tossing out or Ceremonial First Pitch !

The Galax game is a makeup game after having to be postponed earlier in the season.

  Nester’s and Celebration go hand in hand this weekend and Head Coach Rick Nester is celebrating three generations of Family 👪 Birthdays 🎂. Wife, Son and Granddaughter each getting Birthday Cake!!

  Join us for the First Pitch and Softball game at Cavalier Park, getting underway just before 5:00 pm.

  Having 10 of the 12 Spring teams in action 🎬 on the same day has happened before, with Boys and Girls Track 👣 and Field being the teams not competing.

But this Thursday night 🌙, weather permitting, we will make a little history. If we had a crack staff of researchers like at ESPN, we could verify if and when this has ever occurred before.

The catch your breath portion of the BIG DAY is that the School programs will be dormant the following four days as we celebrate Easter.

The fact that the Girls JV Soccer team has been out of action for a few years makes me comfortable in saying the 12 for 12 hasn’t happened recently. If anyone out there knows of it ever taking place before I would 💘 to hear about it.

For the sake of sanity let’s hope that our Athletic Director 🙏 has a bright 🌞 and Sunny Day on Thursday!
