Let’s call πŸ“ž this one : Local Boy from the village of Laurel Fork makes a statement in the Big City!

The Nester Nine, edition #1

Adam Nester has done our little hamlet proud! Laurel Fork is relevant to us so anytime one of us has a shining moment its a fun write ✍.

Saturday afternoon, Nester and his group that I like to call the Nester Nine sealed the deal in regards to the sixth straight Three Rivers District crown πŸ‘‘ for Carroll County High School 🏫!!!

It was a fun day to a number of people, including myself and right after it ended I asked my neighbor to please share one thought about what this season has meant to him?

From the Desk of Adam Nester

On behalf of all of our neighbors out here in the East end of the County – How ’bout that Adam Nester and his Nester Nine !!!

It’s time to say both Goodbye and Thank You to Paul Marshall and Ethan Richardson, Monday afternoon at 4:15 pm !

Paul Marshall is a bit nicked up these days as he deals with a back injury. An injury that is severe enough that it kept him from keeping his spot on  the Anthony Barnes coached Boys Basketball team this past season.

Marshall is finishing up his third season on the Cavalier Tennis team. Marshall played two seasons under former Coach Greg Talley and now his final season under the guidance of Christie Shupe.

Anyone who has spent time around this young will be struck by his kind demeanor and his abilities are not limited to Basketball and Tennis. We will expand on that a bit more tomorrow.

Ethan Richardson is this years version of Davis Reitzel which is fitting because the duo have grown up together. Reitzel has a boundless skill set and a contagious smile to go with it, where Richardson is the more focused of the duo. Laser focus if you will and the last time I was trying to discuss a Carroll County High School Student Athlete with this long of a list of accomplishments was Ashlyn Newman.

Richardson has the grace of his Mother, Paula Nester Richardson and the overdrive of his Father, Kris Richardson. Tennis for his entire time on The Hill in addition to Cavalier Basketball and Cavalier swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ. Toss in some pretty serious Academic chops, playing drums, his Faith and his ability to grasp everything that he sets his mind to.

Marshall and Richardson tomorrow afternoon ahead of their final home Tennis 🎾 match. Two special Cavaliers that made the most of their time on The Hill !
