Carroll County High School Soccer ⚽️ has an uphill climb in its efforts to compete with the Glenvar, but last night was a clear step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈin the right direction !

Nobody is going to dispute that Carroll County High School is behind the curve in regards to the powers to be in the Commonwealth. But last night both programs put other team on notice, CCHS is closing the gap !

Thank You to Allen Worrell πŸ™ for taking the story of our site and putting it on the Carroll News. Thank you to NewsBreak for sharing the story to the rest of the Eastern Seaboard.

Thank You to Ches Helmick for both the gate and the energy. Thank you to Mr Williams for jumping in with no notice and sharing the efforts to get the word out.

Yes, we are behind right now, but if last night was any indication, not sure for how long???

Shawn Montgomery and Jon Delp have a HUGE Day mapped out as they hit the Road again, destination Floyd County for the District meet !

Our favorite ❀ Road Warriors are getting ready to head over to Floyd County (District) today and then Christiansburg (Regional-31st) and finish up in Lynchburg (6/6/25 – State)

Corrie Delp and the Coaches are booked for Lynchburg already and we have a group of other competitors that are either inches or less than one second from joining Delp.

Today is a BIG, BIG day for Track πŸ‘£ and Field !

The Burcham Bunch is set for a season ending showdown with Patrick County, this one is for all of the Marbels ! βž• we have the Nester Nine, Girls πŸ‘§ Tennis Senior Night and Macie Adkins in the spotlight for Father’s Day at Cavalier Park !!

Burcham Bunch

While I am going to be on the other side of our Campus assisting Martin McKenzie and Rick Nester with a Senior Day for Girls Tennis 🎾 and Father’s Day πŸ’™ for Softball, the Main event will be taking place a couple hundred yards down The Boulevard.

Adam Nester and Casey Burcham have combined to win over 30 games and each team has only one setback.

The Nester Nine already have their Three Rivers District crownπŸ‘‘ but Burcham’s Bunch still has Patrick County in its rear view mirror. A victory tonight gives the Cavaliers the outright regular season title but a setback would have them sharing it with the Cougars.

Back on April 17th, Carroll County scratched out a 3-2 victory over in Stuart. There is no reason to believe that the rematch won’t be another instant classic.

The Nester Nine JV Baseball ⚾️ team will open the show in what will be their final game of the season. Not sure how many times that a pair of Rookie skippers finished their integral season with winning percentages North of 900%.

The credit is not limited to Burcham and Nester as Athletic Director Kevin DeHaven put all of the pieces together and Steve Combs is scary smart. They have an impressive support staff in place and a fan base that appreciates everything πŸ‘ they are getting to witness.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is going to be a Show tonight on both ends of the Boulevard and here’s to hoping πŸ™ that everyone can come out and enjoy what should be a star studded night for the Cavaliers, of all shapes and sizes.

Girls πŸ‘§ Soccer Coach Adrienne Harris checks in with her take on Soccer ⚽️ Night on The Hill !

What an awesome night on the Hill last night!!! The atmosphere was amazing!! The girls ended the regular season very strong with a 5-0 win over Martinsville! All 21 girls were able to get quality minutes on the field. First year player and senior Maiya Caudill had her a moment last night when she scored her first career goal!!

.   Another special thing about last night was all 5 goals were assisted by 5 different players (Melissa Mize, Yeili Urbina, Karmen Smith, Callie Harris, Sydney Bomberger)!! Then Callie Harris and Savannah Swecker each had 2 goals a piece on the night. Overall, the last two nights were a great way to end the regular season. The girls won a close one in overtime Tuesday night and then took care of business early last night. I have absolutely loved getting to coach these girls this season and can’t wait to see what they do in playoffs!!

Goal 1 – Melissa to Callie
Goal 2 – Yeili to Savanah
Goal 3 – Karmen to Callie
Goal 4 – Callie to Savanah
Goal 5 – Sydney to Maiya
