‘Twas the Day before Boo Ridge and all through the House 🏠, nine people were saying – ” West Long is the Man 👨”…Welcome 🙏 to Friday, October 10th
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
On a personal note 📝, every morning when I wake ⏰ up, I am thankful for three things – #1 God has Blessed me with another Day – #2, Howard Mayo sends me a Motovational Nugget (Weekdays) and #3, Travis Osborne sends me a Bible Verse.
The mission I’m on is to give people hope by showing them kindness and grace. It can be lonely at times, trying hard to Captain the Good Ship 🚢 Lollipop 🍭 but less so when you have two impressive Men trying to support your efforts !
In regards to West Long and why we have extra Love for him this week. There were nine of us out in the woods yesterday afternoon and at 9am we will kickoff Day #2 (9am-6pm).
Then on Saturday, after the event, the 1,000+ things we prop up in the woods along the trail 👣 has to be picked back up and placed in their tubs. West Long goes from mild mannered Wrestling Coach to this :
Have yourself a Blessed Day 🙌 !
If you looked it up in the dictionary the word Likable, you might see a Photo of Mrs. Brittany Kinney ! Middle School 🏫 Volleyball 🏐 wraps up its season at Radford…
From our Middle School 🏫 Volleyball 🏐 Head Coach
” These girls have made amazing growth from the beginning to end! I’m so proud of each and every one of them! They have worked hard for Kelly and I! I’m proud to be their coach and I can’t wait to watch their volleyball careers continue!”
Match at Radford recap :
Our girls were pumped for their last game. I was a little nervous at first, we came out early with a few silly mistakes, but we were able to recover quickly. During our first match, Briley was our leading server with 8 serves! Laynee and Emma were tied with 5 serves each; Emma had an ace! Mahala also had 4 serves over with an ace! Peyton (7) and Emma (6) were our leading passers with the most passes closest to target. Briley had 8 great assists. Emma had 5 great hits with a kill! This match ended 25-22. Radford fought hard and had some good serves!
Match 2: We had really, really good energy to go into this match. The girls wanted this win…bad! Briley and Tihana led us in serves with 6 each; Briley had an ace! Emma had 5 serves as well with an ace! Mahala and Laynee also had some good serves for us and also each had an ace. We were having fun this match and you could tell because we were playing our best volleyball! Briley had 10 assists, Mahala had 5 hits with 1 kill, Emma (7) and Laken (6) had the most passes closest to the target! They were dancing and having the time of their lives after this game! I’m so proud of them.
Match 3: Our official last match as the 25-26 Middle School Volleyball team! Chloe had one ace and Emma led the team in serves with 4. Alexis had 10 passes that were closest to target. Kaebry and Jaylin both had two successful hits. Hadley had one successful hit.
Thank You Coaches, Thank You 🙏 Players ! Best of Luck moving forward up the Carroll County Volleyball 🏐 Tree 🌳
Stay out of the Woods behind Hillsville Elementary School 🏫 because they are haunted and then some! Preparing the course for Saturday morning 🌄 as Boo Ridge 5K weekend has officially started.
While the event doesn’t officially start until 7:30 am on Saturday, the preparation begins as soon as the Elementary School closed on Thursday afternoon.
Four hours are blocked 🚫 off on Thursday (2-6 pm) and a full nine hours on Friday from 9am until 6pm. This much time is needed to strategicly place Spooky things throughout the 3.2 mile Trek.
Vickey is considering what life would be like if all of her tubs were full of truly haunted items. Each item would jump out of its container in a timely fashion and run out to the correct place on the course!!!!!
Until then, Vickey and her troop of volunteers 🙋♀️ will keep up the good fight and welcome others to join in the pre-fun!
Welcome 🙏 to Thursday, October 9th, just 2 more days until Boo Ridge 5K & Fun Run 🏃♂️. All quiet on the Cavalier front as the School prepares for a Break.
Psalm 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Have yourself a Blessed Day 🙌 !!
