Thank You Coach !!

Welcome πŸ™ to the Weekend ! Friday was a Fun Day for Writing βœ

Morning πŸŒ„ Brew

Earlier this week we had mentioned that Coach Seth Greer had made Football feel alive again on The Hill and that led to the Middle School 🏫 program having 50 players this year. The decision was made to βž— them up so ensure playing time for everyone, leaving us with Team A βž• Team B and both will be participating in a Jamboree this morning at Chestnut Grove

The Drive πŸš—

Β  Hoping for the Best !

Β  Late last night, Cross Country Coach Shawn Montgomery made it back from their scrimmage down at Dobson, North Carolina. At some point today we will have the results.

Travis Osborne will be over in the Abingdon area today with some of our Travel Softball players. We wish them safety on the toad and success on the Diamond πŸ’Ž. Hopefully, Travis will send in a note or two.

The mockup Ad

Β  Here’s a sample of the Ad that will run here in the coming weeks inside The Carroll News. Getting to say Thank You πŸ™ to everyone who jumped on board with us is simply uplifting !

The fifth School 🏫 year is now fully underway and with it comes a new set of readers. So here are some things that will help you understand what it is you are looking at.

Β  Our sites are designed to make people smile so they only have Positive stories.

Β  They are all free for the taking and sharing them is encouraged.

Β  Both Kevin DeHaven and Principal Thompson can share anything that will help get a Message out for them.

On the other side of the Glass, Mr Allen Worrell is invited to use any story that he needs for our weekly Newspaper πŸ“°.

We encourage people who have Children participating in Middle School or High School activities, to join in on the fun. If there’s a story with a Photo πŸ“· it ends up here and sometimes its just a Photo and it ends up on our Sister site, the Laurel Fork Coconut πŸ₯₯ Telegraph.

Both sites are funded by our Non-profit organization, OneofUs.Care, based out of Laurel Fork. Everything we attempt to accomplish is Faith based and designed πŸ™ to give a voice to folks that might not have one otherwise.

In closing, Thank You to Anthony Barnes for opening up his Open Gym. Russell Smoot and Travis Osborne for joining Marion Harris by checking in yesterday.

Cannot forget Mr Greg Bolen for making us all smile with his good natured mind set.

If you are heading down to the Jamboree today, Godspeed on your journey.

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

Saved by the Bell πŸ””: Cavalier College Years :  First it was Macie Adkins, then Jabin Talley and now its the Smoot Brothers that are ready to represent The Hill over at Southwest Virginia Community College !!

Brayden and Bryce Smoot have taken their Basketball skills and desire for further education over to SWCC.

Classes start on Monday and we look forward to watching our favorite Twin Basketball players enjoy their College experience !

While I don’t know everyone on The Hill, I sure am glad that Mr Greg Bolen is one of them! Apparently, the Dynamic Duo of The Carroll News feel the same way about Officer B

Β  Two people are automatically a potential HERO to me. First, anyone who wears a Badge and protects others.

Second, anyone that offers their time and energy to teach our Youth.

When someone manages to combine those two things, they go from Hero to Super Hero !!!!

Not sure if Bolen has a ” S ” on his Chest in real life but in the World I live in, he certainly does.

One way to show πŸ’˜ to Bolen is come to the Gym this winter as watch his Son-in-law, West Long coach up our Wrestlers.
