The JV team will now have a few days to catch their breath after playing 5 matches since Saturday morning. The question might be which group needs the break more, the players or the parents ?
Velvet Leonard Photo of Katie Belton after the Class of 2018 graduate π won the competition !
The Alumni game concluded the festivities with the highlight being that we recorded 7 innings without any injuries ! Monday morning soreness might be an entirely different category.
Junior Varsity Softball Coach Terry Warf umpired the bases and Varsity Coach Rick Nester called the Balls and Strikes.
The Rosters
You will notice that 10 members of the current Lady Cavaliers were part of the game itself. I think that only Brooke Webb and Arizona Thompson were missing from the list of returning players.
Kudos to Katie Belton and Jordan Brown for logging the hours it takes to construct the rosters and create the teams !! Huge part of the process, for sure.
The pitching was covered by Belton, Emma Leath, Macie Adkins and Emma Harmon.
Thank You to everyone who participated as fans ! Thankful that God Blessed us with a picture perfect day for the event.
Thank You to Mr Allen Worrell π for stopping by to capture some of the festivities. We appreciate his time as well.
While I have already mentioned Travis Leath, Velvet Leonard and Kevin Burress once before, this TRIO is what allowed me to try a dot every i and cross every T.

Β For years now, I have happily called Vickey Ritchie an Angel π on Earth and any time I can be by her side in the Gymnasium with her Special Olympics Basketball π group, I jump at the opportunity to do so.
It was Vickey Ritchie that contacted the Sherrif and invited Mr Kemp to join us. I was looking forward to hearing him sing again after he performed the National Anthem last year at one of the Special Olympics events.
His efforts helped set the tone for the day and for that I’m very grateful π. October 11th is set to be the day of the Annual Boo Ridge event that is the crown π Jewel of Vickey’s year.
. Still time to sign up to join us at Hillsville Elementary School π«.
