Year #2 kicks off tonight when the team opens up a Varsity Soccer β½οΈ scrimmage doubleheader at 5:00 pm. Coach Johnson and his Boys squad are set to take years pitch shortly after the Girls action π¬ has concluded.
Each Night that the Varsity team takes the Pitch during the regular season, Brittany Kinney and her JV Cavaliers will open the action.
Today was a tougher than usual day for Coach Montgomery and Coach Delp as they were tasked with having to trim down the number of Middle School Track and Field participants from a recent high of 57.
Coach talked about the types of turnouts that they would have pre – Covid, with one of those years landing at 100. This year the two Varsity teams have 32 Student Athletes ready to compete and represent our School and community.
After having one season without a single Home meet, Carroll County High School will host an event one time this year.
Weather permitting that day will be next Wednesday at 4:30 PM. We will attempt to stir up as much interest in the BIG DAY as possible between now and then !
Student Athletes change sports in Rec League, Middle School and even High School π« but seldom is the transition from one sport to another made on a College campus.
But there is nothing normal about the middle daughter of Shelia and Marion Harris. All three of these young Ladies have been saddled with a nickname and Natalie is Jan Brady. If you’re not old enough to remember the Brady Bunch, that will have no relevance to it.
Jan / Natalie followed Big Sis, Adrienne ” The Future ” Harris – McGuire to Emory and Henry. Playing Volleyball π for the Wasps started out as the plan but after one season, she moved on to the next challenge.
Attending a LaCrosse Final Four a few years back, I was fortunate to pick up a stick and try to use it. Luckily, the person standing behind me that day had a sense of a humor versus a good lawyer.
Natalie isn’t playing Rec LaCrosse or Club LaCrosse, she is playing D2 College LaCrosse with no natural tie to the sport!
Back of the DL, disabled list, not the down low, she is back in action today and jumped right back into the starting lineup.
Wasps storm to a 12 – 5 victory over the Ferrum College Panthers and will return to action π¬ tomorrow.
At some point, Miss Harris was given the LaCrosse equivalent of a time out. When this happened , she was rumored to be saying Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, why is everything about Marsha ???
Ron Cochran has wore many hats in our efforts to help folks get the word out and my favorite part of our relationship has been his quick wit and dry sense of humor.
We reconnected at the Special Olympics Basketball Classic π as I was hosting and he was the ” Lead Official “. Both Ron and I are card carrying members of the Vickey Ritchie Fan Club and do whatever we can to assist her in any manner we can.
When I stopped by the shop today to discuss changes I wanted to make to our kickoff for our Foul Ball contest, I had my very first conversation with Mrs Bissonnette. First thing to know is how to correctly pronounce her first name and here’s what we worked out. Shiang-ling should be said as Shawn – G – ling.
We will now have three nightly sponsors for our Foul Ball contest and here is the breaking news to the biggest change.
The system we were using prior to next Wednesday was to include the first 26 fans who bought a ticket π. It dawned on me that we were leaving out on diehard fans, the ones that have ” Season Tickets ” or as they are called – Passes.
This year, we will have a separate document with numbers from 0 to 25 on it and it will go to the first 26 people who enter Cavalier Park ! You do have to be present to win at the end of the night but if you do, you will leave with a CCHS custom T-shirt π, a OneofUs.Care Frisbee β an item from The Goods !!!
