I get to go to College again today as our Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball team hosts Brescia University in Beckley, West Virginia. It’s the opener of a three game set and both teams are looking to climb the ladder in the River States Conference standings.
It’s been 49 years since I attended my first day of High School as a Norview Pilot. So that made me smile last night when Norview won the Class 5 State Championship in the Siegal Center.
Four more games are set to be played today so more dreams are going to be fulfilled !

Carroll County High School and its 12 teams are now ready to begin their Spring season the first of next week so its an exciting time for many on The Hill !

What are we celebrating : A number of things, including the lone Home meet for the Carroll County High School Boys and Girls Track Meet !
This will be the only time that our recently purchased High Jump area will be used in a competition. Naturally, we want to invite everyone who helped make that happen.
After next Wednesday, the next time these Student Athletes will appear at Tommy Thompson Field is Senior Day at one of the Soccer matches for their version of Senior Day.
Dakota Walls Racing 🏎 is kind enough to provide the CCHS Sophomore’s Race 🏁 Car for the Poster Photo 📷
Both of those Photos 📷 were taken by Mrs Velvet Leonard with this year Mr Craig Worrell handling the camera !
The Photo will be turned into a poster used to promote the Track and Field teams as well as Dakota Walls Racing.
We look forward to working with Mr Ron Cochran at Omega Office 🏢 once we have the photo from Mr Worrell.
It’s not very often that your opening day doubles as your last home appearance.
The Cavalier Track meet will be worked by members of the Middle School team and they will be included in the Photo. Not sure if Coach Montgomery will follow the lead of Volleyball Coach Cindy Edwards and pop on the helmet but we are looking forward to seeing…
We are excited about the opportunity to celebrate both versions of our Cavaliers that like to go Fast around a Track !
The Car 🚗 will be there until 4:30 and I will be there until its time to cross the Boulevard to announce the Softball game. The Track and Field teams will be there just this one time this Spring !
Now that I think about it, the Helmet ⛑️ would look good on Tammy Quesenberry, right ?
