I just received a note from our Buddy, Chuck McGill

over at the Northern Virginia Daily. They are preparing to make a run at covering 10 seperate sporting events today!

The Waynesboro Generals are just 3 weeks away from welcoming the brand new Rockbridge Rapids at Kate Collins Field for the VBL opener. We are in the market for a few fans for the game as well as 48 hours later when we invite our Augusta County Cousins from Staunton to the KC.
If we reach our target number of 2009 fans for either contest one Lucky Fan will leave the Park with a $1,000.00 Disney Gift Card. The card is good for shopping, cruises or admission to either Walt Disney World or Disney Land.

7:29 P.M. – CNU leads #1 seed Salisbury 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth.

7:39 – Salisbury plates tying run in the bottom of the ninth. Head to extras tied 4-4.

7:46 – Parker Neal singles in a run – CNU back ahead 5-4 in top of 10TH !

7:57 – It is in the books ! CNU makes it 2 straight with 5-4 Extra Inning Victory…

Mr. Jay Neal is the Waynesboro Generals VP- Club Counsel and his son Parker plays for CNU down in Newport News, Virginia. For the second straight season CNU has advanced to the field of 54 that is the D-III Baseball Championship Tournament.

         This morning in Salisbury, Maryland CNU rallied for a 5-3 victory over #5 seed Washington & Jefferson. Neal added a single during the 4 run rally and the Captains will now face #1 seed Salisbury at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday.

         Congrats on the win and Best of Luck tomorrow!
