Rebecca and I have just completed the 13 mile trek from the John Moxie Stadium in Staunton to Fishburne Military School Park here in Waynesboro. We left Gypsy Hill Park at 7:38 A.M. and arrived at the Fish at 1:00 P.M.
Rebecca took a number of pics along the way that she will post after we catch our breathe.
5 hours & 22 minutes with three stops…
Jerry and Rebecca have checked in from the road. They’ve made the first third of the trek. They left John Moxi stadium parking lot at 7:38 am and arrive safely at Mrs. Rhodes restaurant at 8:56 am. Check back later for more details. Rebecca has the camera and has taken plenty of pictures.
Less than 7 hours remain until Rebecca and I start our journey (7:30 A.M.) from John Moxie Stadium to Fishburne Military School Park @ Kate Collins Field. We have named our journey The Bea Carter Memorial Walk in honor of my late Mother. If you are out and about on US-250 on Friday morning be looking for us !
Less than 1 hour away from 1ST pitch. We caught a break with the weather today and once again we will be able to play a VBL contest at home…More as the night develops.
9:12PM – Top 5TH and still up 10-1
9:19PM – Lead now 11-1
9:55PM – Rockbridge has cut the lead to 5! 11-6.
After waiting out a lengthy delay the Generals plated 8 runs in the first inning down in Lexington vs. Rockbridge. We added a 2-run blast to make the score 10-0 in the top of the second inning.
The offensive outburst came at a good time after Waynesboro plated just 1 run in each of the last two games! Bottom of the third- Generals 10, Rapids 1
