Graduation update from Carroll County : Indoors on Saturday.

Five hours after they pulled the tarp out to cover the field, we are getting ready to return to action π¬. Duke leads 3-2 in the top of the second, two out and two on….
Let’s do this, again !!!

Arkansas plated five in the bottom of the second, lead 7-3… 5 & 1/2 hours to play 2 innings
Duke gets one back with a solo π£π£π£, now 7-4
Down 10-4 after 3rd
Duke gets one in the top of the 4th, 10-5. Still no zeros on the board.
We have our first Zero !!! 5:11, end of 4th
Sadly, we have another zero on the scoreboard, mid 5th, 10-5

Arkansas scores another run on a bases loaded force out. 11-5 with two in scoring position…

That 3 run π£π£π£ flew over my head, cleared the second fence, and is still rolling through the back parking lot.
6 & 1/2 hours to play…

Staunton High School π« at Liberty Christian βοΈ Academy is on tap for tonight in Lynchburg, Virginia, as Regional team play begins for both schools.
Knowing that the Valley is getting soaked right now, I wondered how my longtime friend was going to get his match played ?
The answer is that they will be playing on the indoor courts at Liberty University, next door to LCA.
Meade knows that win or lose, his young team will enjoy the moment of not only playing their matches indoor but also on a college campus!
Liberty University is to the Baptist church, what Notre Dame is to Catholics. When you add in the fact that LU is the largest school π« in the universe ( combined, in person and online), it should be a win-win experience for his group.
Best of luck to SHS tonight and Godspeed on the trip down and back.

Won 5-1. Advance to quarterfinals to play district rival Waynesboro !!!!!

Adam Nester and his Nester Nine Baseball βΎοΈ team captured the schools seventh straight Three Rivers District crown π this spring !
Jeremy Puckett and his JV Boys π¦ Soccer team won or tied every single match that wasn’t played against the Glenvar Highlanders ! Even in those two matches, our Cavaliers pushed the undefeated team to the edge (6-4, 2-1).
Terry Warf and Alec Horton led the Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers to a winning record despite playing four games against Chilhowie and James River along the way. The Knights finished the season at 20-2, and the Warriors took no prisoners in their games. The duo stepped in after Alexis Dalton retired at the end of last season.
Brittany Kinney ( Karmen Smith as her helper !) and her Kinney Kickers faced some growing pains in Year 2 of the program rebirth. The team struggled a bit but not from effort but from the injury bug. The effort was there each and every night that Coach had enough healthy players to take the pitch.

Thank you to each coach and each Cavalier to be !

PageΒ County High School Junior Varsity Softball team captured the Bull Run District regular season crown π and was set to play Central – Woodstock in hopes of adding a tournament title to the trophy π case. But for the third straight day, the game has been washed out.
Today is the final day for any JV competition, so the younger Lady Panthers will have to settle for just one title this season.

In regards to the varsity tournament in the Bull Run, they have made the decision to eliminate the semi-final round and hopefully play the championship game next Tuesday.
Region play starts Thursday, so Tuesday is the last chance for the CentralΒ versus Page County tilt to be played.
Strasburg is the tough luck team in this equation because the Rams π were right on the heels of the top two.
To show how tight things are in the Bull Run, Strasburg is on pace to receive a better seed in the Region.
