When you have a thought bouncing around in your head, but Sue Bird 🐦 comes along and says it for you…..

Can we please πŸ™ let Women’s Basketball πŸ€ return to being about the game itself ?

Whether it’s Kris Richardson, Howard Mayo, or Kara Lawson, or Pierre Curtis, who is coaching your team, Girls / Womens Basketball is a big part of life. But lately, it’s harder to enjoy the sport because of all the outside noise from social media.

Sports uset to be an outlet for most people, a place to escape from the day to day challenges of life. Whether you watched it because your daughter was playing the game or just because you enjoyed the sport, for a couple of hours, you had a safe place to exist.

Can we please find a way to get back to enjoying the game of women’s basketball while we still can ?

Welcome πŸ™ to Tuesday, August 11th, and our Morning πŸŒ„ Brew !

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget of the Day :
Amen πŸ™ Coach

Baseball ⚾️ coach Casey Burcham and his group of dedicated staff still have room for a few more former Cavaliers a week from Saturday !

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‡πŸ™

It’s time to welcome πŸ™ a new week, and we get things started with our Morning πŸŒ„ Brew !

Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

While we await the arrival of Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day, I wanted to share a bit about Coach for our readers outside of the Carroll County area.

Coach is closing in on 500 career wins πŸ†and back in the day at Bluefield, Mayo was a beast on the court. His playing abilities landed him a spot in the Bluefield Hall of Fame !

2015 was the year of induction

Later this week, it will be time ⏲️ to catch up with another veteran coach chasing down 500 victories as Cindy Edwards will be holding a scrimmage on Wednesday evening on The Hill.

Get out there and have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™ŒπŸ˜‡πŸ™.
