In a lifetime of covering Sports, I cannot remember a calender month like the one that Duke University is entering.
Eight games spread across 30 Days and they will take place in some fun places!

November 1st, 2025 – There was no way that there wasn’t going to be curve balls spread out across the 30 Days but I’m not sure that I expected such a big one right off the Bat.
Long story short for now, we didn’t get on our 2nd flight last night. The one from Philadelphia to Paris. Now, 24 hours later, we are sitting in the Flagship Lounge at American Airlines and we will be boarding shortly for Zurich, Switzerland π¨π. Words that I doubted that I would ever say or type in my life.
The plan was to watch the Duke University Football game versus Clemson from France π«π· but instead it was from Pennsylvania. Either way, we celebrate the first victory at Death Valley since I was in High School.

5-3 with four to play βΆοΈ

7:35 departure from PHL

Sunday, November 2nd :
Divided our day between Switzerland π¨π and France π«π· as the game doesn’t get played until 6pm local time on Monday night.

Our Duke QB, Daniel Jones π had a rough day with five turnovers against the Steelers but it doesn’t change our Love for the young man.

The Lady Blue Devils were able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Paris !

Monday, November 3rd :
Welcome π to the first of eight game days ! This one takes place over 4,000 miles from Cameron Indoor Stadium.

It will be interesting to see π how the games are perceived by the local fans.
6pm is the Tip Time for Duke vs Baylor with California and Vanderbilt to follow.
Tuesday, November 4th :
Arrived back at the Airport in Paris at 4:30 for a 7am flight βοΈ on British Airways over to London, England π¬π§

Landed back in Charlotte at 2pm local time. It turns out that the Men’s Basketball team is playing in a new event in the Hornets Arena at 8:45 pm versus Texas. So its find a Hotel π¨ before heading over and then it will be Nap, Basketball and Nap before heading π‘.

Wednesday, November 5th :

The morning π after, if you will. The alarm β° went of at 4am in the Charlotte Hotel π¨ room so we could get back in time for an 8:45 appointment for Lab work. Charlotte to Laurel Fork is just over two hours with the added challenge of no food or drink.
At some point the Ladies have to get back in the classroom and get back to normal life – next game for them is Sunday November 9th at 1pm…
J.J Redick coached his Lakers to a fifth straight victory last night and the team is now 7-2!!!
SATURDAY – November 8th
The start of back 2 back Duke double headers begins with Men’s Basketball π and ends with Blue Devils football.

It was an exciting game that was full of offensive highlights but UCONN won the turnover battle 3-0. The final one happened in the final seconds on a strip sack as the Blue Devils were in the Huskies territory.

At some point today, the Lady π© Blue Devils will board a βοΈββοΈ back to RDU after having survived a tough as nails π 8 game stretch. I thought we would go 4-4 over the stretch but ended up at 3-5.
We are going through Denver on the way to Indianapolis for the closeout weekend to the month. Still some Duke related stuff taking place before the November β° strikes Midnight.

Sunday, November 30th = the end of the road. Today the Duke University angle was former Blue Devils Quarterback, Daniel Jones. The place was the House that Peyton Manning built, Lucas Oil Stadium π.

We were honored to be the guests of Brandon Roop and Derek Riddle π of Donaldson Capital Management. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet and outside of the cold π₯Ά temperature, it was an Awesome day from start to finish.
