No matter what I try, I haven’t mastered being in more than one place on any given night, but with the right amount of assistance and trust, a solid story can still be written !

Our Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers also played at Glenvar High last night π and I would love to create them a story as well because we see π everything as equal.
Let’s walk through the process from start to finish with the first thing being saying Thank You to everyone who helped me along the way.
Here’s the batting order from last night : Leading off, Donna Nester (Team Mom & Coaches wife). Batting second, Tammy Quesenberry (Team Grandmother π΅, Head Cheerleader). Next up, Velvet Leonard (loving mother π©), Travis Leath (Assistant Coach), and finally, Rick Nester (Head Coach).
Glenvar – Carroll County High School Softball team had seen enough opposing teams claim a victory by having one big inning and Tuesday night they had one of their own in a 20-2 Three Rivers District contest at Glenvar.

By the time the dust had settled in the top of the second inning, the Lady Cavaliers bad batted around twice over. I’m not sure if 15 runs in an inning would be a new school record or not, but one would think it would rank pretty high on the list.
Coach Rick Nester spent the off-season working on having his players be more aggressive at the platplate and against the Highlanders, they attacked like ants π at a church βͺοΈ picnic would an abandoned piece of cake π.

A total of five players recorded multiple hits ( because I’m not limited on space, I will list all five), including Holly Miller, Addie Greene, Natalie Burress, Emma Harman, and Brooke Webb.
Laiken Burnett was doing an impersonation of Aerosmith in her version of Walk πΆββοΈ This Way. The Senior added three free passes to her base hit, finishing up with an on-base % of 1,000.
Raylee Goins followed suit with one hit and two walks to join Burnett in the Three runs scored club. Greene was the third Lady Cav to find her way to home plate on the night π.
Miller continues to cause problems from the leadoff spot in the lineup by going 2 of 3 with a walk, four driven in, and two runs scored. The team completed the game without a single strike out at the plate. Madison Coleman checked multiple boxes π¦ with a hit, RBI, and two runs scored.
Defense and pitching also excelled as Carroll County finished the five innings without a single misque. Greene worked πͺ from the circle π΅ and know that it’s easier to do so when you have confidence in the gloves behind you.
Webb, Burress, and Bayleigh Allen combined to give the Cavaliers a trio of extra base hits as each player stroked a double during the contest.
Laynie-Jo Leonard took over at third base for Allen, and Ava Beamer did the same out in left field in relief of Webb. All 11 players saw action π¬ in the victory !
The team can now return to the regularly scheduled π Spring Break as they are off until next Tuesday night when Floyd County is scheduled to visit The Hill.

Some more notes π – the story was set up by Donna and Tammy, keeping me in the know as it played out. Velvet sent me the exact number of pics I needed, and Travis provided me the stats.
The amount of trust that Coach and I have built up across six years allows me to write βοΈ the story, and then he can add anything that I might have missed.
The focus is always on the team first, and if something goes wrong, the misque can be acknowledged without assigning fault. Win π as a team or lose as a team, at the end of the day, it’s about the Team
