The goal was to have our Alumni Day Gala be kicked off in Grand style and Thanks to Patricia Lineberry we did just that.

The group opened with a beautiful version of the National Anthem and followed it with Happy Birthday 🎂 as we had two Ladies in the House 🏠 celebrating their Big Day. One of them turned 80 and her Son wrote a very special Birthday note 📝 to her !

Dear Mom,
Hope you enjoyed your surprise and I hate I cannot be there to sing with everyone else but I will see ya in a bit. Just wanted to say thank you for being who you are!!! God totally gave me the best mom ever. Thank you for always setting the example for love, caring, and always being Christ Centered!!! You have always put others before yourself and I just wanted to say thank you!!! We love you and want your 80 th birthday to be so special just like you are!!!!

Let’s call 📞 this one – Remember the Night 🌙 in the Tri-Cities Airport where Duke’s rally fell short but Velvet Leonard made sleeping 😴 on the floor tolerable by sending Wonderful pictures 📷

Someone who thought he was making a good decision by leaving Cavalier Park and stopping by Patrick Henry High School 🏫 and then heading towards the Tri-Cities Airport, errored by not checking the Sports calendar.

Lin is landing tomorrow morning at 10:47 am and everything was right on schedule until I noticed that it was the Bristol Night Race 🏁 and 100 miles up the road the University of Tennessee was hosting the Georgia Bulldogs. That 1 – 2 👊🤜🤛✊👊 = No hotel rooms to be found. Oops…

  Every time I create an event in Carroll County, Virginia, the young Lady that I refer to as our 3rd Daughter has been right there for me to frame the Moment. Today she even had an Assistant with her to carry her Camera Bag 🎒 and Chris did it with a smile on his face. It might just be me but I think he’s kinda sweet on her !

Not enough time to get down to the Big Easy for the game but enough energy to still cheer on the Blue Devils while processing the Day at Cavalier Park. First Thank You goes to the Solid Gold Dancers !!!

Greg Bolen, Russell Smoot, David Broyles and Kevin Burress joined me in the Pitching Circle 🔵 for a Moment of Brotherly Love 💘!!!

Tammy Tobler had Girls Just Wamna Have Fun playing in the background and the Fearless Foursome had them rolling in the isles. This priceless moment means the World 🌎 to me because each of the Four were there because they understood just how much the event meant to me.

Coach Nester was with us for a brief moment but quickly scooted to safety.

There will be a TON of Thank You 🙏s but there was no way to not start with four Men that I feel blessed to call Friend!
