Travis Osborne checks in with a reason to Smile πŸ˜ƒ

They are playing Softball today in Abingdon and Travis Osborne took the time to snap a Photo πŸ“· of a young Man wearing a T-Shirt πŸ‘• he won at Cavalier Park this past season. Omega Office and OneofUs.Care team up to sponsor a Foul Ball contest at each Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers Softball game.

Thank you Travis for taking the time to make me smile from 2,100 moles away and Thank You πŸ™ for our Model that made the moment possible.

Final Thank You πŸ™ goes to Brandi’s Dad for making the Shirts πŸ‘•.

Diamonds πŸ’Ž are a Girls Best Friend : Donna Nester checks in with a thought from June 13, 2015!

Softball !!

You posed the question β€œWhen Donna said I do at her wedding to Rick Nester, I wonder if she knew the adventure to come?” The answer,

β€œI certainly did not!” I did know that I was one lucky lady, and I had definitely found the perfect guy for me! Adventure…absolutely! The 2015 softball season was an adventure for sure, especially when you add in the wedding of Adam and Kayla on the same day as the state championship game. We knew the 2015 team had the potential but in January-before the softball season even began-who would have thought that a June wedding would pose a conflict with softball? As the games of that magical season rolled by and the victories mounted, I began to get a little stressed at the possibility of a same day state championship game and a special wedding.

The excitement for both continued to grow and the closer we came to June the more people were asking, β€œHow are you going to do both?” I wasn’t willing to miss either one! Thankfully, the game was scheduled for 10:00 am and the wedding for 5:00 pm. Of course, softball was in Lynchburg and the wedding was in Cana! I said, β€œIf we’re not back by 5:00, they’ll just have to wait on us!” I felt everyone would understand. As it turned out, we had two victories that day! We probably would have celebrated a little longer at the ball field but didn’t want to be late for the wedding. An added adventure for the day was a plane ride with Ricky Thomas to get us back home and to the wedding as quickly as possible. We arrived with some time to spare and the wedding was beautiful! What an awesome day! I don’t recommend purposely scheduling two major events in one day, but for us it was magical from beginning to end!

Welcome πŸ™ to Sunday June 29th and we begin by Celebrating a King sized Random Act of Kindness!

Excellent Uber Driver
The Path taken

As we close in on July 1st, when we change the banner on this site and we make it 100% Carroll County, Virginia, there’s time to share a true OneofUs.Care moment that was made possible by Mr Douglas Owens.

After a somewhat serious health scare on a recent morning πŸŒ„ back in Laurel Fork, the idea of enjoying a 2100 miles drive πŸš— started to dim. With that said, being without our Car was going to create certain challenges as well.

The driving force behind OneofUs.Care is to encourage people to create Kindness by doing for others, as often as possible πŸ™. Douglas made his way out to Laurel Fork and jumped into our little Chevy Trax and drove it across the Country for us.

Β  The fact that its a Trax is relevant because it wasn’t like there was a high end German Sports Car that was begging to be driven.

I arrived in St.George one day earlier, after getting Lin to Missouri, where she will visit with her Mother πŸ‘© and Sister while finishing up her rehab from knee replacement. Made good use of the day by jumping into a one day rental and heading out to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I created a post πŸ“« from up there but the cell service was a bit spotty

Check out how close the heard of Buffalo πŸƒ are to the Highway!

One of numerous views

There are more photos πŸ“· on the Saturday post πŸ“« as today is about showing gratitude πŸ™ for a random Act of Kindness from Mr Douglas Owens!!

Great step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ Day!

Tuesday morning will be the official makeover day for the site and this story is an example of one that would appear on a different spot because it doesn’t fall under the heading of a Carroll County event.

Today will be spent in the desert 🏜 town of Mesquite, Nevada where its forecasted to reach 110° but thankfully we have that whole dry heat thing going on.

Thank You Douglas and here’s πŸ™ hoping everyone has themselves a Blessed Day !!
