It’s never to early to look at the upcoming Duke University Football 🏈🏈🏈 season, right ?

Each season, for five decades now, the team I follow the most is the Blue Devils football program. They are still the ultimate underdog and only 11 times in my 61 years has the team won πŸ† 6 games and qualified for a Bowl πŸ₯£ game.

Manny Diaz is in year two of his stay at Duke and is coming off a year where he swept the Tar Heel State, defeating the trio of North Carolina, Wake Forest and North Carolina State. Not sure where six wins might come from this time but its one of my favorite things to do each year!

The good folks at ESPN have Duke hovering right at the six win mark this season and there are certainly some must win games on the docket. There will also be a boatload of miles traveled for the six road games or should I say, five of the six as UNC is just around the corner.

New York, California, South Carolina,

Β  Connecticut, Louisiana and Chapel Hill.

The Tulane game will be interesting as the new QB will be facing his old team.

Last season ended in Jacksonville

Louisville is still alive out in Omaha, representing the Atlantic Coast Conference !

When we last checked on the state of ACC Baseball ⚾️, there were five teams playing in the Super Regionals.

Miami fell at Louisville in the lone All ACC match-up and then sadly Florida State fell at Oregon State, North Carolina at Arizona and down in Durham, Duke lost two straight to Murray Street after winning the opener.

In a blink of an eye πŸ‘, the league went from looking like a player to not so much. Then Louisville dropped its opener at the College World Series and fell into the losers bracket of the double elimination tournament.

But now as we close in on the end of the road, U of L is still out there representing our league ! Don’t know if they have the horses to upend the SEC teams or not but its neat that they are still out there !
