It’s been a while sense someone new has stumbled across our site and stayed around long enough to read enough stories to trigger the Great News Bells π and Sirens π¨.
Β We hope that our new guest or two has enjoyed their time enough that they might want to tell and friend or two.
Our goal here is fairly simple – to find ways to encourage people through a 100% positive manner ! The stories are not altered in regards to results, just in the manner that they are written.
Here is a great example as Carroll County High School Softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader the other day up in The Highlands versus the Cougars.
The dedicated parents made the trek up to AHS to support their Kiddos and Grand Kiddos β€. This story, which went from our site, to online to The Carroll News and finally NewsBreak, tells the story through a positive light. It allows the Coach an opportunity to speak about what went right instead of just saying, we played – we lost.
Β Tonight will begin here shortly and we have eight teams set to take the Court, Diamond π and The Pitch. Each team will receive some level of acknowledgment after they are finished competing πͺ.
P.S. – the number of emojies used to force humility by not allowing oneself to become to serious about what is designed to be enjoyment.
Tonight is Glenvar night minus β JV Softball, we host Fort Chiswell.
Last night π we held our breath from start to finish as we hosted Pulaski County High School π« at Tommy Thompson Field. We were fortunate that while the sky looked rather spooky, it never opened up.
Β Today is set to be a nice warm day in May, right up to the point of game times. The percentage of rain π§ jumps considerably around 6pm.
Varsity Baseball βΎοΈ is pushing its start back to 6:30 pm in hopes of getting its game in. As we approach 11am, everything else is still set to take place as scheduled.
A tough loss for our CCMS Lady Cavaliers Softball Team last evening, as they fell 14-4 to the Ladies at Christiansburg Middle School. As the typical “Softball Dad,” I often times get wound up during the heat of the battle π₯π₯β¦β¦ after the game last night, Morgan walked out of the Circle discouraged. (And Dad may have been a little as well)??β¦.
Then, as we were leaving the park, one of Morgan’s friends from the opposing team came over and gave Morgan a Big Hug with a Big Smileπ What a Wonderful Testimony from a Wonderful young Ladyππ I was Quickly reminded that there’s A Lot more to this game than just the gameβ€οΈ I challenge All young athletes and parents to put forth the effort to be an encourager. You just might put a smile on someone’s face when they need it the most!!!πβ€οΈ
