Carroll County High School π« Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball π were the only thing on the Cavalier Sports Docket for Monday. That match is now on hold until the good folks over in Marion see if this School and town are going to be functional anytime soon.
A number of towns across the Southeast were devastated by flood waters from the Hurricane and Marion is on that list. As Sunday night flips to Monday morning π there’s still hope but not a great deal of it.
Carroll County High School π« will be closed due to the high number of residents that are lacking shelter, electricity, water or all of the above. The School was open over the weekend to try and assist as many folks as possible with those very things.
By comparison to other places in the region, we might be considered fortunate but that does little to take the sting out of the upheaval of normality. I add myself to that list of folks that have been in the dark for an extended period of time but thankfully we now have power once again and hopefully water soon enough.
There are plenty of people and places to Pray π for. The threat of more rain π§ in the coming days doesn’t make things any easier.
Weather Permitting…..
