Carroll County High School 🏈🏈🏈 looks to move to 4-0 on the season tonight when it welcomes George Wythe to The Hill !

Just a few fun facts about tonight’s game ahead of Allen Worrell’s wire 2 wire coverage which will begin at 7pm.

We are now far enough into the season that one can look at the opponents path in hopes of drawing a conclusion going in. GWHS brings a record of 1-2 to Tommy Thompson Field tonight so let’s take a look inside those numbers.

The Maroons opened the season with a dominant performance against our Three Rivers District foe Radford. They didn’t just beat the visiting Bobcats opening night, the cruised to a 28-7 victory. If one were to stop βœ‹ the research there, it would appear that GW is set to conquer the World 🌎.

But since that night GW has yet to score a point and will be playing a third straight road game. Further review shows that Graham is 3-0 and has outscored its opponents 93-0 in those games. Graham scored half a hundred in its 52-0 defeat of Galax two weeks ago.

Altavista is also undefeated at 2-0, so while the Maroons are only 1-2, those losses came against quality opponents.

Flipping the script to the Carroll County High School side of the contest. If you draw a circle on a map surrounding CCHS , three of the four closest Schools 🏫 would be Galax, Grayson County and George Wythe.

The Cavaliers not only have an opportunity to reach 4-0 but they would get there by defending their own backyard. The team is playing with a great deal of confidence and with the GWHS being close by, The Hill should be full of electricity and then some.

Know that if you find yourself at the game tonight it should be a fun evening and My Man Vern ( Allen Worrell) will recap it all for you as a true Homer should.
