Beth Bouldin has checked in from Tommy Thompson Field – Middle School 🏫 Football 🏈 in action 🎬 [Running Blog]

Glenvar is on The Hill and we will jump in at the 3:38 mark of the 2nd quarter with the Highlanders leading our Cavaliers 21-6.

Here until the end…. Glenvar adds another TD just before halftime. 28-6.

Dedicated fans braving the light rain before the storm.

Cheerleaders aren’t afraid of the Rain either !

Beth is a seasoned veteran of 2 weeks and she is all over this !

3rd Quarter – Glenvar punches in another TD to push their lead out to 35-6.

#1 Brandon runs it back for us, plus a face mask penalty gives us mid field position, next possession a touchdown run by #10 Alex!

Close to a 50 yard run, not sure of the starting yard to calculate !!!

#10 also got us the first touchdown

Score 35-12 about to start 4th quarter

[ Played the 3rd quarter at 7-6!]

4th quarter –

Glenvar answers back with a 40+ yard pass for a touchdown. Extra point brings it to 42-12.

Cavs still fighting, rain is picking up but the fans are sticking with them to the end!

Block in the back on glenvar’s offense moves them back so the Cavs are still fighting.

Don’t stop til the clock does!

42-12 final, Cavs held them til the end for no score. Learning every game. Tonight’s lesson, rain play.

Thank You Beth Bouldin !!

Check out this post… “Just one of the many reasons we Love Casey Burcham ❤!”.

http://aroundthevalleyin60days.blogspot.com/2024/09/just-one-of-many-reasons-we-love-casey.html

Casey Burcham is chasing the very same things that I am chasing but our new friend is saddled with the burden of being the FACE of our common goal.

I wrote the original post 📫 at 3am but I knew it wasn’t officially official until Casey shared the Post. I watched as Mrs. Burcham shared at and that was followed by a handful of Ladies that are near and dear to my Heart ❤ but not Casey.

Finally Casey took one for the team and committed because he believes in what he’s chasing and that is the exact reason why so many people are willing to follow!

So now I can officially send out a S.O.S to the Duke University fans out there. Save our Shirt 👕. If we don’t generate $500.00 Casey gets to burn our Shirt 👕.

That means we need a minimum of 20 people (19 after I went first) to make sure Casey has to wear the shirt 👕. Anything less and it will be a Sad Day for the Brotherhood.

Know that we still have a $10.00 level and one Called a Plugged Nickle yet to come !

Let the Building begin !!! Stadium seats 💺being installed as I type with the Brick Walls to follow….

The biggest difference in between Cavalier Park and Rebel Park ( the place from my past that I borrowed the idea 💡 from ) is the amount of space available behind Home Plate.

To be able to maximize the number of seats we couldn’t have them be free standing as they are up in New Market. Other than that, we are liking our chances to recreate the setting once everything is in place.

Today is just step 🚶‍♂️ one of many and we will do our best to document the process!

The back row is now in place – 10 seats 💺 across !

More to follow…

Build it and they will Sit !

J.H. Pence out of Roanoke is the Company that we purchased the seats from and they will be the ones in charge of building the initial structure.

1:30 – Day #1 of many has reached a stopping point but know that there are many days to come !

Monday Morning 🌄 Quarterback – What do Seth Greer and Manny Diaz have in common ????

If we had a crack staff like the folks in Bristol (ESPN) maybe 👀 we could research this….

Seth Greer ( Carroll County High) and Manny Diaz (Duke University) were both hired during the off season to take over programs we keep an eye on.

[ Motto for Life – Duke, UVA & where I stay].

Greer inherited a team that hadn’t won three games in a season in a few years.

Diaz inherited a team that Won a Bowl 🥣 game but then, watched its Head Coach leave for Texas A & M, its quarterback transfer to Notre Dame and its top running back move 20 miles over to N.C. State and the heart ❤ of the defense get drafted in the first round.

Back to the original question – what do Greer and Diaz have in common ?

Both of these 1st year Coaches are leading 3-0 teams !!!! A non- Duke fan will add that they play in front of similar size crowds but if they don’t stub their toe at Middle Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon that could change when the Tar Heels visit the following week.

Greer, on the other hand ✋, is playing in front of an excited fan base that is over the Moon 🌙 right now !

Both Coaches will begin their preparation for a shot at 4-0 here in a few hours. Meanwhile, I do wonder how many times both programs sat at 3-0 in the same season 🤔???
