Stacey Diggers is in the middle here with A M Gulas to her left and Steve Lumpp to her right.
The Hill – Early this morning, roughly a few minutes after I went to sleep I received a text message with an address showing 441 Coon Ridge Road.
Sleep is overrated so I jumped in the OneofUs.Care version of the Bat Mobile and headed over.
The group involved here is the Fuller Center for Housing and Stacey has the title of Vice President, U.S. Programs. Their website can be found at fullercenter.org for those out there that would like to research even more about the depth of their organization.
From the moment we began talking it was obvious to me that I was having a OneofUs.Care type conversation. We are just searching for others that believe in the same things as we do, hence, calling someone OneofUs. I explained a bit about ourselves to Stacey so she could understand why I was there and then we were off to the races.

Every opportunity to share a story of people that follow the second of our three pillars (If you have a skill set that can better others, you should find a way to lend it out every chance you can), is an answered prayer. The number of people on the site today came to Carroll County to build the third home is amazing.
Stacey knows them all personally and will happily walk you through their story. The difference between trying to Sell a Story and Tell a Story is that I don’t have a limit on the space nor do I have to search for the ” pull quote”.
There is another layer to this story that involves some students and a teacher from Carroll County High School π«. Excited about sharing their story as well when we can !
Kudos to Mr. Jay Holderfield as he was the one that pointed me in the direction of this story. It’s a story that should be shouted from the Mountain and I hope that we are just scratching the surface on this one. I hope we can look at this from 10 different angles because it is what we are chasing everyday.
Yes, I lend out my skill set every chance I get. This week there was six hours start to finish providing coverage for a Middle School Football game and yesterday it was 11 total hours for the Volleyball program. Today I am currently working on six separate projects that all mean a great deal to me because it is for the betterment of others.
All of that is nice but Stacey Diggers has a team and they are building a Home in Carroll County that someone will move into. Maybe its just me, but I think that’s Frickin Awesome !!!
Hopefully this is just a start down this path, but even if its not, I am better for my 60 minutes with Stacey and her friends.

The house in the lower right is the second home π‘ they completed, which sits next door.
