Last night 🌙 at the Home Volleyball match I handed the 🎤🎙🎤 over to Cavalier Baseball ⚾️ Coach Casey Burcham for a brief update. In between sets, Coach announced that the first HUGE hurdle has been cleared – the building itself has been ordered !!!
For those of you that aren’t up to speed, Casey & Combs started out chasing a dream of building an indoor hitting facility that could be used by both the Baseball program and the Softball program.
The dynamic Duo were kind enough to sit down with me early on about this ” Legacy ” project and they had me at Hello !
The structure itself is indeed on its way but now comes the challenge of creating the funds to purchase everything that is needed to bring the building up to the point where it can serve it purpose.
Two more Big Ticket 🎟 items are in place during the month of October. First, the Softball Alumni Game and then a Golf ⛳ tournament.
Looking to both have some fun and raise more money 💰, I have pitched an idea 💡 to Casey about how we can raise even more Cash 💸 on Sunday, October 6th.
The idea includes both Combs and Casey holding clipboard 📋s during the pre-game festivities. The question they will be asking is a two-part and it involves our beloved Rick Nester. The day is going to be terrific and everything raised is going to the items needed for inside the facility.
Yes, we are going to have a building this winter and now its time to fill it with everything that are Diamond 💎 programs need to continue their paths to success for decades to come !
The line from one of the greatest Movies 🎥 James Earl Jones starred in (Field of Dreams ) had to do with Build it and they Will Come. Casey Burcham is chasing a Legacy moment and we’re going to make sure it happens !
