Wednesday night π, with both Corrie Delp and Brooke Webb in street clothes due to injuries, Carroll County gave the visiting Lady Canes every thing they had before falling 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 19-25) in their season opener.
Marion High School was playing their fourth match of the season and presented a pair of big hitters and a great deal of experience.

” I cannot be disappointed in our group tonight,” said Edwards, following the match. ” We played hard from start to finish.”
Eleven points was the final separation between the two squads as the battled just past two hours on the evening. Ali Wright landed a number of big swings and the team did an impressive job with the digs from every spot on the floor.
