Casey Burcham and company were all set to host the event of the Summer at Bill Worrell Field on The Hill but Mother Nature threw him a Curveball.
Unrelenting downpours left the field looking like a swamp around the infield but planners like Coach have a backup plan and the group will try again Sunday afternoon, starting around 2pm.
In hopes of Celebrating Back to School Month, let’s take a quick look at another School π« that is now part of the growing Family πͺ of Schools that there’s a reason to pay attention to, Surry Community College.
Located in Dobson, North Carolina off US-601 Business (just South of Mt. Airy), the School will become π‘ for our Emma Leath later this month.
After throwing every pitch possible over her four year stay at Cavalier Park, Leath will now take her game to the next level with the Knights program.
The Knights program sits near the Top at their level of competition and should give the Carroll County High School All-Time Strikeout & Pitching victories leader a great opportunity to work on her game.
The team plays its home games just a few miles from the main campus at the Fisher River Park facility.
Surry Community College is as close as one can get to playing Sports in regards to distance from The Hill. The short drive π South should make it easy for local fans to keep up with the right handed pitcher come next spring.
Welcome π Surry CC, to the ever growing list of next level Schools that have a former Cavalier calling it Home!
