On a more personal note π,, the Lady Mountaineers Field Hockey π team at Appalachian State University are set to make their pre-season debut tonight down at Wake Forrest beginning at 6:30.
App State returns to the Rock this Saturday afternoon for their home scrimmage which will be the first of our ten home dates π .

The shot above is off the drawing board as the finished product. The benefit for the School as a whole is it will create a multitude of parking spaces for all things non-softball related!!!
The benefit for Cavalier Park is the next step πΆββοΈ in our efforts to add to the beauty to our facility ! Its a great lead in to the next Big Thing which we are hoping will be starting early next month.

Β Β Everything depends on timing and unfortunately we didn’t catch a break on this one. While it was great to make the front page with our latest and final project, it came at a time where the lead story was a HOT π₯ TOPIC.
Β The $3.5 million dollar π΅ proposal for a new swimming πββοΈ pool reduced everything else to an afterthought but that’s life and you play the hand you are dealt.
Β The final $10,000.00 of our $150,000.00 attempt to make a difference has been earmarked for the Academics / Clubs at Carroll County High School π«.
Β That much we knew going in but I will be the first to admit that the teamwork involved in implementing the process to distribute the money π° and recognition is priceless !
Β Kudos to the Administration Team for coming up with a plan that captures the very essence of what Linda and I hold near and dear to our hearts π. Kindness and compassion for one another while focusing on education is a rare combination and this plan addresses all of the above !
Β The money π° will be distributed $1,000.00 at a time across the 10 months of School with each dollar going towards a Club or cause that is away from the Athletic side of the building.
Β Also fun to have the chosen person or people for a given month to have their πββοΈπββοΈ face sit atop our site for a month !
Β Looking forward to seeing this in place for the first time when the person / people chosen are revealed to us.
Β Dance, Chorus and every over program within the school π« will be eligible to receive part of the money from the beginning of the School year to the end.
Β Thank You to Chuck Thompson, Kristen Quesenberry, Jay Holderfield and Kevin DeHaven π for their efforts with this project ! It was an easy thought to want the last thing done be solely about what matters the most.
Education is the best way to prepare our Children for the future. It’s not the only thing in the Big Picture but its worth paying attention to…
