Out of sight doesn’t mean out of the Heart – We ♥ Forrest Johnson !

I want to borrow from the Preacher that wants to begin their sermon with a joke as an 🧊breaker.

Casey Burcham has never been to a single Softball game that I’ve announced over the years at Cavalier Park – what’s up with that Casey ? Do you hate Softball or something ?

Nothing could be further from the truth in that about Casey hating Softball, its that he hates me….

I am a HUGE fan of Cavalier Baseball ⚾️ and Bill Worrell Field ! Casey Burcham is a fan of Rick Nester and his program but we all have one thing in common – we play at the same time on the same days so its tricky for us to be in the same place at the same time.

Side note 📝 to our hard working Athletic Director, Kevin DeHaven. My idea 💡 is we have one day next Spring where we hold a Day / Night doubleheader. We play the opener at Cavalier Park and then everyone heads across the Boulevard to the Baseball diamond 💎. In that order, because playing under the lights is still new North of the street.

Let’s take that now and address the level of respect that we have for our Boys Soccer ⚽️ Coach Forrest Johnson.

Johnson works as hard as anyone in Carroll County. Between teaching, coaching and being a Husband and Father of a young child, Coach doesn’t have a great deal of downtime.

Now that we’ve cleared up that Casey Burcham doesn’t hate us at Cavalier Park, maybe we can work on that Day – Night idea. One bonus would be that maybe 👀 Samantha Reed would cross the street because she doesn’t Hate us either, does she?
