Β Β Everything depends on timing and unfortunately we didn’t catch a break on this one. While it was great to make the front page with our latest and final project, it came at a time where the lead story was a HOT π₯ TOPIC.
Β The $3.5 million dollar π΅ proposal for a new swimming πββοΈ pool reduced everything else to an afterthought but that’s life and you play the hand you are dealt.
Β The final $10,000.00 of our $150,000.00 attempt to make a difference has been earmarked for the Academics / Clubs at Carroll County High School π«.
Β That much we knew going in but I will be the first to admit that the teamwork involved in implementing the process to distribute the money π° and recognition is priceless !
Β Kudos to the Administration Team for coming up with a plan that captures the very essence of what Linda and I hold near and dear to our hearts π. Kindness and compassion for one another while focusing on education is a rare combination and this plan addresses all of the above !
Β The money π° will be distributed $1,000.00 at a time across the 10 months of School with each dollar going towards a Club or cause that is away from the Athletic side of the building.
Β Also fun to have the chosen person or people for a given month to have their πββοΈπββοΈ face sit atop our site for a month !
Β Looking forward to seeing this in place for the first time when the person / people chosen are revealed to us.
Β Dance, Chorus and every over program within the school π« will be eligible to receive part of the money from the beginning of the School year to the end.
Β Thank You to Chuck Thompson, Kristen Quesenberry, Jay Holderfield and Kevin DeHaven π for their efforts with this project ! It was an easy thought to want the last thing done be solely about what matters the most.
