The chairmen of The (Baseball) Board!

There were a number of outstanding pieces to the Alumni Baseball ⚾️ Showcase on Sunday. Today we are going to focus on the debut of the Records Board.

Our Velvet Creed Leonard captured the moment with five Alumni that were in attendance that day. You see the photo above and the faces should look familiar to diehard Carroll County Baseball ⚾️ fans.

Going left to right, Casey Burcham, Rod Bryant, Hix Miller, Craig Worrell and Adam Nester.

Our goal here is to tell the stories of who we are and any chance we can we ask the folks that are available to tell their story, we jump at the chance to ask them to do so.

The Board is just another step πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ along the path that Casey & Combs are going down in hopes of embracing the programs history. Now that I have written about it and Velvet has captured it, its time to ask some of the people that have earned a spot on the board what it means to them to be on The Board.

We are going to extend the invitation to all of the members but we will start with Mr. Rod Bryant. Tricky part is that Rod Bryant doesn’t know that yet, but hopefully he will soon ! (SPELLCHECK isn’t always your friend – Thanks Mr. DeHaven !

Thank You to C & C for creating the board, Congratulations πŸ‘ to everyone who has earned the their spot on the board and now the journey begins to get folks to describe what the honor πŸŽ– means to them.

At 1:09 am balance was restored out here in our Village that we call Laurel Fork !!!

Quick Thank You to Ashton Richardson for being the choffuer for her younger brother tonight.

This story dates back to last Basketball πŸ€ season when we encouraged our LF Native Son to perform the National Anthem before a Boys Basketball game in hopes of raising money πŸ’° for a Mission Trip.

The trip was extended a few days on the way home and the group found themselves in London, England πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ for a couple of days unexpectedly. If you look closely πŸ‘€ at Ethan you will notice that the shirt πŸ‘• he is wearing is from London.

The group had been in Africa 🌍 before the layover in London and we are sure there are tremendous stories to tell and we hope Ethan πŸ™ will eventually bounce back from a rough return trip and share some of them with us.

Obviously our Ethan wasn’t the sole person that was on the trip so if there is anyone else that made the once or twice in a lifetime journey we welcome them to share.

In roughly 27 hours Ethan will begin his Senior year on The Hill and its a safe bet he will sleep πŸ’€πŸ˜΄ at least 50% of that time. Once he awakes ⏰ he will resume being our loveable young man that Swims, plays hoops and Tennis 🎾 all while cheering for Duke and treating people with respect.

Welcome πŸ™ Home Ethan Richardson πŸ’™
