If not four 15+ years of trying to play games in February with the Golden Bears baseball team, I would be worried about Southwest Virginia Community College not getting to play a game yet.

When both Lauren Alley and Macie Adkins signed to play College Softball after the end of the season last year I added attending one game of theirs to my to do list.

Adkins and her teammates were set to open play last weekend but those games were scratched due to weather. The next stop ✋ on the schedule was a three game set at Wake Forrest Technical College in Raleigh.

The set was 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday and turned into 2 on Sunday and 1 on Monday which has now become just 2 on Monday (1 & 3).

Here’s hoping 🙏 that the team gets to play today as I’m sure that the entire team is getting anxious to play ball.

Will add to this post 📫 once I make it down to Raleigh and get set up.

If I don’t find them today it might be time to reevaluate a fun game of Hide and Seek.

There won’t be the normal amount of play by play today as this is much more about showing a neat young lady that we see her out there.

Mom 👩 said that Macie finished up her first set of Classes with a 4.0 !!

The afternoon has turned out to be picture perfect, weather wise.

Flying Eagles plate a run 🏃‍♂️ in the Top of the 5th !

Impressive number of Family 👪 and Friends are here to support the Flying Eagles ! Macie just made a nice running catch for the second out of the bottom of the 5th inning.

2:25 pm – Game 1 of double header is in the books 📚 Eagles edge the Flying Eagles. Game 2 will begin shortly.

Macie earns a lead off walk and comes around to score. SVCC has plated 3 in the top of the 1st!
