Tuesday Lunch with our Wrestling Coach West Long and the 🍎 of his 👁

There will not be an off season for our Wrestling Coach as he tries to build up his program now that year one of his regime is in the books 📚.

Most of the programs that fall under the umbrella 🌂 of Carroll County High School come with a long existing “Farm System”, if you will. The Wrestling program has lacked such a feeder system for quite some time now. That’s going to change soon enough if Coach Long has his way.

“In every sport you need to find away to get people involved at an early age,” said Long. “Wrestling is no different, we have to build through our youth.”

Step 🚶‍♂️ one in that process is getting underway right now with a youth program being held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 until 7:15 in the Wrestling room at the Middle School. Our door 🚪 is always open to Coach Long as we believe that he has the toughest Coaching job in the County and its our goal to assist him in anyway possible !

The youth group is simply step 1 of 100 on the long and winding road that Long is trying hard to map out. Coach has the knowledge of his sport, the burning desire to succeed and he has a Map ! Here’s hoping for the Best !
